Let me pull out my psychological hat here and try and analyze the Jazz core:
Hayward is just like the kid who is all gung-ho to grow up and become an astronaut, but when he actually leaves the house to go to college he suddenly finds out how hard life really is out there and he falls to pieces. BTW, the video game thing kinda fits this. Can he work himself out? Up to him really.
Kanter is similar, he left the gates all rearing to go, but the more he focused on his offence, the less energy he can put on defense, and suddenly the wall of Kanter looks more like the 'ole of Al.
Favors is actually doing alright. On schedule and steady. Not elite yet, but no signs of collapse.
Burks is suffering from the natural effects of being scouted by the other teams. They are showing him that he does indeed have weaknesses in his game.
Burke is trying to put the team on his back and is doing ok, but he needs to trust his teammates more and set them up. That of course requires that his teammates earn his trust first.
Basically, we suck, it isn't being staged. That doesn't mean fire sale, but it's going to be a long year, and for heavens sake, stop using the core four thing because I doubt very much that we keep all of our RFA players, especially if we pick top three in this draft.
