Maybe the Jazz just kept Al and Sap because they saw that being bad this year wouldn't really pay off? They keep Al and Sap around in hopes of making the playoffs to gain some playoff experience and expectations for the youngsters, then go in all out youth movement next year. If they suck, we get a good pick in a potentially star laden draft, if we do good, then awesome our young guys rock and the future looks bright.

Lindsey knows Corbin is a "made man" and for the new guy to come in, start ruffling feathers, and upset the family would be a big no no. After watching the product San Antonio put out for many years, I can't fathom Lindsey likes Corbin at all.

For what it's worth, I thought Lindsey's interview on 1280 last week was telling. He was talking about Corbin for a while and being mainly complimentary. And then out of the blue, without being asked, he said something to the effect of "We are supporting him now, but of course we're going to evaluate his performance after the season gets over and decide whether to bring him back." Maybe it wasn't quite that blunt, but that was definitely how I took what he said. I was a bit surprised I didn't see it discussed here, but didn't have time to post about it myself.

Lindsey is no dummy, I trust he knows whats up.
 
now that pretty much at least 3/4 of the fan base, national and local media, and seemingly some of the players themselves are on board with the whole, hate on ty thing, maybe something will actually get done.

I can vouch. He seemed to hint that they were not sold on Ty long term. That new 1280 ap is the buisness for those out of state.

6 foot 9 and all that wasted ability though is just wowing. He as the athleticism, he has the jumpshot, he has decent ballhandling skills. How is he only averaging 7.7 points per game is just wowing. I blame it on Jefferson.

Marvin Williams as a starter (51g): 25 mpg, 41% FG, 32% 3Pt, 7.7 ppg, 3.4 rpg.
Marvin Williams as a sub (6g): 23 ppg, 50.0% FG, 58% 3Pt, 9.0 ppg, 6.2 rpg.

The sample size is small, but so far Marvin is more productive when he isn't playing with the starting unit (i.e. Jefferson). He isn't the first Jazz player this season to suddenly become more productive by moving to the bench, either.
 
In fact, Al, Mo and Foye are not effective players and are also very overrated players.

Marvin could play better if he would be used correctly and if he would not have to play with a starting unit full of chuckers.

No doubt that Corbin also has been misusing him, it was not all Marwin's fault.

From the the group of Mo, Al, Foye and Marwin, Marwin would be the only guy I'd be okey with him staying.

I think he will be much better next year if the three guys above will be gone.

Marvin's move to the bench also caused him to go after every rebound. He could have been doing that all along.

I sure hope that this is correct. I have been skeptical of Tyrone Corbin from the get-go (no HC experience, had no idea who he wanted for assistants) but not certain about him. This article makes it crystal clear: Ty does not know what he is doing. Get rid of him now. Maybe he can be packaged with his BFF, Big Al.
