Article: Seven teams that could surprise with breakout years

For the life of me I can't understand why all of u give the irrelevant ncoloradojazz a platform. Why respond to him. Even his compliments of the Jazz have been backhanded criticisms. If u just ignore him, not only will he be irrelevant, but he will also fade into the background.

Yeah, I would hate to have an MVP candidate who puts up 23.5/10.4/7.8 on my team, who's value above replacement is 8.3, and led the league in BPM two seasons ago.

The Westbrook and Harden hate is silly.

You sound very sure of yourself. If this is accurate, would you accept a wager? Let's say 50 American dollars to be sent via Paypal to the winner of the wager. I say the Jazz will do better than the 8th spot this coming season. I say 7th or better. If the $50.00 is not enough, I'll sweeten the pot and send your fat, trollop of a mother some McDonalds coupons.

I don't believe NColoradoJazz really believes Jazz finish worse than 7th.
 
Cute when guest team thinks they are more relevant because of role players. By gods I can't wait until the season starts so I can log on here and see the disappointment flood in.

Making the playoffs and almost dethroning the defending champs when people gave us no shot in hell was not as disappointing as you think. Definitely not more than not even making the playoffs and losing the position to the worst team in the entirety of the playoffs in the Rockets.

Based on RPM Kevin Pelton did an article projecting next seasons records for all the NBA teams:

He projects the Jazz to finish 3rd in the west giving them a 47.6 wins from his calculations.

3. Utah Jazz
Projected wins: 47.6 (Summer Forecast: 45-37)
This might seem like a crazy leap for a team that didn't make the playoffs last year, but remember: The Jazz actually had the fifth-best point differential in the West (plus-1.8 PPG). Ordinarily, that would translate into 46 wins, and that was despite injuries (including Dante Exum missing the entire season) and before Utah loaded up with veterans this offseason. The Jazz should be considered the favorites to win the Northwest Division.
