I watched that at work. I was also very disappointed. I was sure Aaron Gordon was going to be our pick. But as usual I talk myself into cheering and being hopeful for anybody we get.

Gonna try to go to this I think. I get off work at 4:30 and I work at the opposite end of the valley so it would be tough but I figure I can be there a little late and not miss any of the draft action. Really dont want to miss out on the J-Dawgs though.
 
I just don’t have the patience to watch a draft with other people. I’m so invested in who I do like, that I’d be a bummer to be around if they make a pick I don’t like again. I’m better off watching it by myself.

I’m hoping for a different result than in past years. Gobert and Mitchell were really the only picks that I’ve enjoyed since I started following this. . . and I turned it off after the trade up for Burke that year. My wife told me about Gobert and Neto later. I have a player type and drafting strategy that I favor and DL did not prescribe to the same philosophy. I’m hoping things are better with Danny Ainge. So far, I like his style of team building.

The draft ios a crapshoot. Noone has a clue who is going to emerge as the dominant sleeper at 9 and after. Will we take chalk or are our scouts better than the avg bear and get it right?
There are very few superstars from any draft, so unless they are convinced the upside is there for someone projected at 9, they will do everything to trade up or it's some kid nobody is expecting that high. But there is no guarantee they get that right either. I think Hawkins and Jett will be elite offensive players and are sleepers for us

Haha. I was on a family vacation and watching the draft with my bros while the wives were off doing god knows what when we got Burks. My bros were jumping for joy when I went on a tirade I was so mad!! They were making fun of me so I had to get out of there. Lol

I love that J Dawgs found out they were gonna be handing out many thousands of hot dogs at the Delta Center a week from now via a random tweet.

I get that Ryan is going to compensate them for the food, but now they have to account for the food they're going to need and the staff that it's gonna take to make this happen.

Draft doesn’t start until 6, and ESPN ALWAYS front loads coverage for this stuff with 20-30 minutes of their BS analysis. So you’re probably safe

20-30 minutes is a pretty conservative assessment. There’s gonna be at least 10 minutes of lead up explaining what happened at the lottery draft. “Previously, on Days of our Lives…”
