Game Thread Aug 08, 2020: Utah Jazz vs Denver Nuggets

Added to Calendar: 08-08-20

This will end up being our lowest scoring quarter of the season. Previous low was 15 which was previously set in the bubble.
 
Do we have any plan for last couple of minutes of a close game except Mitchell drives(he always misses at the rim) or pull up threes?

what evidence do you have that the Jazz can beat Denver. If anything this shows that Denver will win. Jazz had control of the game and Denver never panicked and Utah folded like Denver knows they will. Just like the last game where Utah let a 22 to 1 run go and lost in Denver. Denver plays defense now and they shut us down in the fourth. DM body language is not good either. He is not a natural PG and made several dumb passes instead of shooting it when he had an open shot. Where did Joe go or Conley? They completely disappeared. Rudy clanking free throws and not getting key rebounds. Sorry but I think Utah would lose against pretty much any team they would face in the first round, They are easily bullied and lack size and athleticism and they miss Bogey a lot.
 
Mitchell just hasn't been sharp today. Missed shots, threw passes away. He'll get himself together. This is a pre-season game for all we care.

The difference in the game is the Jazz's 19 turnovers

We match up really well with this team. First game we've played in the bubble where we established an early lead. Trust me, we can and will beat this team, if we can get to six.

I think it's pretty clear Hou and OKC are terrible matchups. Both have kicked our ***. Denver on the hand, seems beatable. They have injuries and Jokic is not in top shape. Evidence? Impossible. Like, do you have evidence the Lakers could beat Memphis? Uh, no, but it's expected. No one is saying we will beat Denver, but we seem to matchup better against them, even with all the shortcomings. At least it would be a close series.
 
If this goes into a series, we need to learn to defend that 1-5 action between Jokic/Murray. No need to show any defensive strategy against it tonight.
