and that my friends is why i say in those draftees threads all the time "the step back j is the #1 most important move in the arsenal for guards"
I feel like Utah can do a whole lot worse than QS...It's because Snyder is an overrated coach. This is the peak of his iteration of the Utah Jazz. The sooner the Miller family realizes that the better. Look at what happened to the Raptors after they dumped Dwane Casey's *** for Nick Nurse. The Jazz need new blood. We can't risk not trying to make changes for Donny or he'll dip and go elsewhere.
Two questions.
1. A healthy Jazz team last year, with Favors, Rubio, and Crowder, what would this series be?
2. A healthy Bojan, what would this series be?
Maybe 3 questions actually.
3. Are we actually better than last year? I realistically wonder if we actually took a step back by blowing our size and identity? Favors and Gobert would be killing Joker and Millsap inside. And I wonder if a longer Rubio would slow Murray down? Crowder providing that toughness that sometimes we lack.
A lot going on there. I think JC gives us something we really needed last year. I think we are better I just don't know why we were dead set on bringing in a pg... especially one with Mike's size. Being short handed sucks... Wish we had Bojan. I think we'd have won it by now but its really too tough to say.Two questions.

Did I say Conley played great D and locked down Morris? No. I said he wasn't the only one to blame and that at least he contributed on O (unlike Royce, Joe or JC...you may also look at Rudy this game).
My lenghty post was to tackle on a bigger issues, which is how the team is constructed. It's not fair to blame one guy and treat him like a scapegoat when there are more reasons why we lost this game (and you can say has been present throughout the season):
- Bench sucks (especially when Clarkson is not hot)
- Lack of perimeter defense. We don't have depth or the personnel.
- Not athletic/long enough. A unit with Joe, Niang, JC, Bradley and Conley on the floor is not gonna cut it.
Thought he was okay... we didn't move the ball tonight... when you have Mike, DM, and JC out there creating he doesn't get to touch the ball much. He had the huge sequence to end the half then was kind of a ghost. Was much better on defense tonight but it didn't matter in the end.Ingles is playing like he wants to go home.
Makes one wonder if the reason we were so good previous years on defense is because we had Favors to play along side Rudy. Sure makes me wonder after this season without him.
this is especially true for those who wanna trade Rudy: our current lineup is in the worst position to let him go. we'd literally be giving up 150 points a night if we are to lose Rudy right now.I don’t think it is just Favors:
On defense,
Rubio > Conley
Ingles (then) > Ingles (Now)
Favors > Bogey
Bench:
Crowder, O’Neal, Exum, Neto > Clarkson, O’Neal, Niang, Mudiay
This year’s squad is much better at shooting, but worse across the board of defense.
If you have the DPOY, you should put good defenders around him. Otherwise, what’s the point of having him. One player, no matter how great, is not enough to make a team good defens
Jamal Murray, one of the most inefficient scorers in the NBA is 31 for his last 41. That is 75%. Jesus.
The bubble effect maybe? I don't think Donovan is normally this efficient either. That’s the biggest part of the problem... I keep waiting for him to have a 2/9 from three night and it just ain’t happening.
I think all three situations we would be similarly good. I think bojan being the x factor that might make the real difference. Two questions.

Our bench is garbage. Why not let Oni, Morgan, JWF, NWG and Brantley have a lot of minutes for game 7. At least they might try, play some D and hustle. Jerry is weeping tonight.
Yep. You can't just replace 20 PPG and another sharp shooter the other teams defense must pay attention to. And he wasn't nearly as bad in all the other areas as everyone makes him out to be, passable at least. We could definitely have used his scoring, no doubt.People done forgot how good he was.
