It was a brutal series for him and we all know the shtick of his playoff struggles.

But man. He kicked the small ball Lakers *** up and down the floor last night.

He remains my #3 favorite Jazzman of all time.

Pulling for him. Minny will be a tough out for either GS or Houston.

Same here. There's only a handfull of former Jazz players I'll never root for. Glad he had a great showing.
 
If teams have to double Edwards it really opens up Gobert on the glass. Lakers shifted a lot more defensive attention to Edwards in G5 and I think that's mostly what let Gobert go off.
They doubled Edwards all series long. Slowing him down was Reddicks big plan from the start and he never really changed it despite Reid and McDaniels cashing in on open 3s all series.

The difference in G5 was that Lebron was the tallest player Lakers played all game apart from 5 Maxi Kleber minutes, so they made it easy mode for Gobert (and Finch). I mean they started DFS at center. Gobert was like a grown up playing against kids in the park, getting all the rebounds as well.
