I don't think there will be a big enough gap between the two to dub one Batman and the other Robin.
 
I'd say more like Ying and Yang.

They both can play a little of both offense and defense but excel in one category. They compliment each other well. And they are black and white. Kanter can't play the defense Favors can and Favors can't play the offense Kanter can.

Yep, but Kanter is still a good defender, and Favors is still going to produce on offense. It was apparent they would compliment each other well even before we drafted Kanter.

This is what i think as well.

Should have had an option in the poll for They will both be Batman
 
Kanter is Batman on O and Robin on D. Favors is Batman on D and Robin on O.
 
I'm more interested in who's going to be Catwoman since Gail is a little long in the tooth for the job.

Both of them will be A grade superheroes. But it's more like Favors is Thor and Kanter is the friggin Hulk. Favors has speed, elevation, athleticism and all that but Kanter has raw power and grit. We saw the movie, they were about equal in ability and their 'fight' would have gone on a lot longer if it hadn't taken place on a flying fortress.

Now who's Iron Man? Hayward? (maybe, it kind of fits, enough ability and uber smart. And before anyone talks about the Hulk being a scientist, I heard on the radio that Kanter is actually quite intelligent due to tutoring his dad put him through)

Edit: hehe, Jeremy can be Captain America; not as powerful, but keeps the other guys together. OR is Burks Captain America? Naw, he's Spider Man, but now I'm crossing comics.

Favors is way overrated on this board. Years of pining for a shot blocking center dubbed him an All Star in advance of his birth.
 
What is Favors problem? He has the body to be a superstar in the league but his head just isn't there. It's probably because he has been so athletic his whole life that he never had to learn footwork or positioning. I sure hope he figures it out because if not than Kanter might just be his Batman in the end.
 
15 seems a good target for him. His freakish athleticism bailed him out on a couple low post spins last night. I was amazed at how he put the ball in the cup. He also clanked a couple last night for the same reason--relying on athleticism.

He has a long way to go to for DPOY though. Long ways. He's not even in Joakim Noah's class, let alone Dwight Howard or Tyson Chandler. His post defense is poor and he appears too weak to hold strong players back.

As I've said for a couple years, he'll be Chandler light on defense but provide much more on offense. I'll take it. Now if he can pass like Noah (which I think is very possible), we'll see All Star some day.
 
The biggest thing Favors needs for his points to go up is for him to be used correctly. Get a pick n roll PG, and stop forcing him to play like Al. Favors should be used in a way along the lines of Amare Stoudemire, yet we force him to play like Al Jefferson. I can't think of two more disimilar big men.
 
What if he plays like Millsap? Would that be better? He doesn't really post up like Al does, and he's who Favors will be replacing.

Millsap has range out to the 3pt line and is a very good ballhandler for a 4.
Favors will need to be more of a pick n roll type player and needs a point guard to throw him lobs like cp3 does. Also favors needs to really go after offensive rebounds and get putbacks.

Edit: I also liked someones idea (mellow?) of favors hustling down court and posting up very deep before the defense is totally ready and then feed him the ball for quick scores early in the shot clock.
