Based on Katie's post history of her against the world and her applauding every decision that agrees with her POV and her bashing anything that goes against her POV I have no problem giving her a little grief. Katie plays the victim incredibly well.
Seriously, has Katie ever thought about how her decisions, actions and lifestyle affect her family? She wants so badly to be accepted she has lost any compassion for what her family is going through. Does she even care that her father likely cries himself to sleep every night over what his "son" is? It's not like her father was and is an *******. He has been brought to this via the situation that is his "son".
Honestly, I don't know what I would do if I had a son and he came to me stating that he thought he should be a she and wanted to cut off his tally-whacker. It would be devastating. I think most fathers, regardless of what they say publicly, would feel this way. This seems to be lost on Katie. That her father is just as tortured as she is. Family members always end up being the insensitive ******** in these situations which I think is flat out wrong. The "victim" needs to take on some of the responsibility.
One of the sayings that I despise most is, "I'm their child. They should accept me for who I am, no questions asked". This is a load of crap. They may still love you but to accept the crap that you have dealt everyone is not a pre-requisite for loving you. I'm sure Katie's family still loves her dearly but cannot, and should not, be expected to accept her situation if it goes against their beliefs.

It's not that I care or anything because at the end of the day it's obvious that youre simply a prick who likes thinking and acting like you're more intelligent than anybody else- especially if they dare disagree with you on a topic. Once again, it's just the "tolerant" of this forum showing their true colors.
No, I was comparing the feelings of people who were facing on sort of bigotry with feelings of people who were facing another sort of bigotry, and noting that being hostile to people who are engaging in bogoted action toward you is not bigotry, but relatively rational behavior. I didn't think it took a genius to understand that point.

and i haven't even expressed an opinion on this topic because there hasn't been an appropriate avenue to do so. it's evident that most people here have no understanding of trans issues, nor do they desire an understanding so there's nothing to talk about, debate, or learn from. these discussions are boring, boiling down to people spitballing, trolling, or citing the dictionary. i've expressed skepticism that people know what they're talking about and that's it, if i wanted an open and interesting dialogue i'd pm One Brow or sirkicky instead of roughing it out with you and the other cavemen
