Do You Believe in Alec Burks

For A while, i was starting to think Burks might not have what it takes to make it as a solid player in the league, but my doubts are now starting to dissapear. It's nice to see the growth of alec burks, which is, essentially, learning to play with teamates and playing hard on the defensive end. 7 assists last night and 6 rebounds!! legit! Solid Solid.

I have always believed in Burks that is why I wanted the Jazz to draft him. I have always thought he could play PG too. That is why it is frustrating to see him sit on the bench. I think he can be great player if given the chance.

If anything, his quality time of late has increased his trade value from a month ago!

I know that most posters are on the Hayward bandwagon but Burks "potential" makes it tough cause they both essentially play the same position.
If only Gordon put on some extra pounds of muscle or Paul be 2 inches taller!!

Your naive optimism has always been cute and a part of your charm. Don't stop believing BR!

Good to see Burks finally buying in to sharing the ball and playing D. Personally, I think his future with the Jazz is at PG; he could be a good SG in the NBA, but I think he could be a great all-round PG.

I'd rather see him in the Harden or Wade role (before LeBron came to Miami. As for next year I'd like to see this starting lineup.

Mo
Burks
Hayward
Kanter
Favors

I'm not as worried about Hayward at sf as some seem to be. I honestly think there are just a small amount of sf's that would present a problem for Hayward, and that would be the star sf's. One thing he has going for him is he is very good at staying in front of his man and then is very good at bothering close shots with his length and deceptive athletic ability.

I too believe Hayward can play the 3 just fine. I'm not so sure Mo is the right guy to start at pg though. I have believed in Burks for a while now, which is why I bought his jersey back in September. We better not trade this stud.

Off the ball Mo is a very good PG. He is a great shooter.

That is the lineup i like best as well.

I obviously believe in burks since i have been driving the burks bandwagon since he was drafted. (sometimes i got tired of driving and let spycam, or revolution drive for a while)

I actually prefer Foye in instead of Mo. If Mo is in he shoots worse shots than Foye and is not as good. While also wanting the ball a lot more. With Burks and Hayward both in we don't need a real PG and Foye fits just fine while spacing the floor better than Mo.

I believe in Burks. My dream is to give the axe to Wet bandit, bring Hayward back in the starting line up and make it clear that he's at least the #3 option, if not one or two.

Then Burks can be #1 on the second unit. Super Six.

Everyone talks about Leonard and Klay Thompson, but if their situations had been switched with Burks, we'd all be watching him in the Rising Stars Challenge this weekend.

Funny that I remember at the start of the season when Gordon Hayward said " I believe in Alec Burks."

That what this thread reminded me of.

Just wanted to say thanks for buying his Jersey.

This was my response after the first game of the season...

I am physically upset right now 2 ****ing minutes, that is messed up!!

This is complete bull ****!!!

Burks deserve so much more than this!!

He had as many minutes as Evans and our rookie, I'm so pissed I can't think of his name!!

I've never been this upset after a Jazz win...

That is how much I believe in Burks...

I remeber plenty of posters mad with me cuz I was so angry after a Jazz win and that Burks would get time or that he hadn't deserved it yet. Burks is only now getting time cuz of injuries, not coaching!!!

Im looking at you Gameface,Shaggy and ScorpJazz..........

What kills me about Burks is that we probably wouldn't be anywhere near where we are now without the injuries.
Pro-Corbin guys would be saying Burks hasn't proven himself yet, hasn't worked hard enough in practice, obviously Ty knows more than us. Who are we, but mere peasants. Burks would still be a fringe rotation player who would play sparingly, and have
mixed results.
