Benji Burke Says Jazz Coaching Staff and FO Knew Burke > Neto + Exum

He's playing in pre-season right now...appears to be 3/10 and 0/3 from 3-pts.

Burke ended up shooting 5 of 13 and scoring 14 points, with 5 assists and zero turnovers, steals or blocks in 29 minutes, while team was outscored by 7. All things considered, he still sucks.

I think Burke is waaay more suited to play in the some lesser European league or even here in Brazil than in the NBA. He knows how to free himself to shoot. Actually, trying to find a shot for himself seems to have been his only real worry since entering the NBA. But he doesn't have the athleticism or size to deal with NBA defenders. Agaist smaller or less athletic players he probably could at least shoot a better percentage. Fredette is in a somewhat similar situation, IMO, but has the advantage of being taller.

Didnt Burke dominate pre-season every year? I seem to remember him playing really well during preseason in his 2nd or 3rd year.

In other news my mom thinks I'm the most handsome man ever.

I defended Burke until the end. I wanted him to be the star he was in college. Still think he is a solid back up, but looking back the 2013 draft stings.

To know we could have added McCollum, Antetokounmpo, or even Schröder (He was my pick) hurts. At least we got Rudy.

Things like this make me cringe.

I wished him luck when he was traded to wizard. now, his mom is trying to make jazz fans hate him lol

Bad form for Benji to say this. Not a classy move. Makes me wonder how his son stayed professional during a tough situation.

I imagine a fully involved DL and Quin would have gone a different route in the 2013 draft. I can't remember if KOC was still involved but I do remember ty pushing for Trey. Unfortunately I was all about Trey pre draft

KOC did the 2012 draft. DL did the 2013 draft. Still I would temper any criticism by saying, DL was steering the ship, but it wasn't his boat. DL was operating with the established order of Jazz scouting and evaluation. He made several changes to the scouting program after that. So to complete the analogy : since 2013 DL has built his own boat and steers it any way he wants.

In the game the other day Exum looked like straight trash. Spin it however you want, Say it was because of injury and hey it might of been but botomline is he looked like complete garbag. Neto should not even be playing in the nba. I have seen better Point guards in college last year.

Any parent is going stick up for their kid and think their kid is better.. Some of you are so petty around here... Just like how many of you will say hey my kids not very good at (Fill in the blank) or are you going talk your child up? Yet you people wonder why players don't want to come to Utah. You treat them like they are property and not people.. Burke is going have a good year coming off the bench for the Wizards.. Being away from Utah will be the best thing to happen to the kid. Utah fans treat you like a piece of meat and Quinn is such an overrated coach by you people. He is doodoo. Portland showed other day why Jazz will never win anything , It is because they lack a star. Favors jumper looked nice but he doesn't have that heart of an all star. Doesn't have the heart that wants to crush people.. Jazz might not even make the playoffs this year. Say I am wrong and blah blajh blah but every year I tell you clowns something and get made fun of and by end of the year it proves I was right.. Jazz are fighting for the 8th playtoff spot PERIOD. Top 4 team my ***. If they are a top 4 team then bball is down really bad, Down to the lowest point it has ever been. Jazz roster just does not impress me. Lots of good role players but no ALPHA.

Which of course explains all of the great trade offers we got for Burke and why we ended up unloading him for a first round pick. . .

Burke was a professional throughout the process, worked hard, and really tried. In the end, he is a ball dominant inefficient scorer and poor defender who doesn't get to the free throw line and doesn't have a high assist rate to compensate for his other defficiencies.

Coaches and GMs want to win, their jobs depend on it. By and large, they don't bench players they think will make them better and win more games.
