Best Free Anti-Virus program for my new laptop

What's the best free anti-virus program or software I can get off the internet for my laptop? We had a fairly recent thread on this right before the server crashed and any help would be greatly appreciated.

This isn't actually anti-virus prevention, but I thought I'd mention that I've found the best tool for cleaning out a really nasty Windows infection is Combofix. That will obliterate pretty much any malware on your computer, even notoriously persistent rootkits like vundo. (I will also say, however, that if you do run it, you should probably run the logfile it generates by someone who has experience in dealing with viruses, since the log can reveal still-existing infections which you may not recognize as a virus removal newbie)

i had a lot of Antivirus softwares but the best one is from far Kaspersky.
