The GOAT horror soundtrack is from the 1971 Italian Film "Suspira".... Check out the opening scene if you dont believe me...

 
O Brother Where Art Thou(2000), is imo a great movie soundtrack... best of the Cohen bro's catalogue..

I watched The Battle of Algiers(1966) few weeks back and it struck me that the soundtrack was really good..

Oh also"Vaporwave" is some "new" **** the kids are into these days... John Carpenter in 1976 directed and wrote the soundtrack to Assault on Precinct 13...




IMO this is a soundtrack that maybe isnt the best, but it's aged quite well.
 
Now this is an old *** movie(1929), and the soundtracks from almost a century later(2003)... still tho this is one of the real contenders for GOAT imo. It's sublime.

I think Barry Gordy really did an exceptional job on the soundtrack of "The Last Dragon"(1985)... I feel like if you listen closely you can tell that movie was produced by a record label exec

For Disney movies, I'd have to go with "Beauty and the Beast" (1991)....... Mrs Potts "it's as old as time" is tough to compete with.

The Juice soundtrack when it first came out was filled with bangers, glad to see it mentioned here.... If I had to choose a hip hop related soundtrack I'd go with "Murder was the case" (1994)... Executive produced by none other than Suge Knight... Mixed in Dr. Dre's studio..

Thats kinda cheating, because it's an hour long soundtrack to a 20minute shor,t film. Regardless, it's loaded with classic tracks... they paid 2pac buncha money to record a track that didnt even make the cut, which imo speaks to the quality of the final product....
