Best Places to See a Jazz Road Game

How was Seattle?
I liked the arena, although it definitely seemed a bit small-ish (reminiscent of a large college arena). Unfortunately, there were some red necks sitting in the row behind me and my buddy (old Mormon roommate from BYU), talking **** about Utah and Mormons the whole game (raising their kids up right...). It was fun glaring at them after the Jazz won.

I've been to a Clippers game back in the LA Sports Arena days (win) and a Lakers game back in the Forum days (loss).

But as much as I hate having fans of opposing teams sitting near my at home games, I'd probably not go to another road game.

Come on, what's not to like about these?

Not that this was about the arena per se but Bill Simmons thought Portland had the best home court advantage in the league and that we had the second best... think he wrote that about two or three years ago.

It has to be OKC 1st right now. We would still probably be in the top 5, if not top 3.

My wife and I went to the 76ers game last season. Unfortunately the Jazz lost. The arena was nice though. We sprung for lower bowl seats (Cheaper than the lowers at the ESA). Every lower bowl seat was leather (possibly fake leather) and padded which was a huge upgrade in terms of seating. The fans seems pretty cool we talked to a few people after the game on our way out and no one gave us trouble or anything despite being decked out in jerseys etc... I suppose had we won that might have been a different story though.

Brooooooooklyn!

You bet your Sloan-lovin' asses I'm going to the first Brooklyn Nets vs my UTAH JAZZ

Any ideas when it might be? When do we normally come out east? IIRC around Thxgiving, before Christmas?

When did you move to Brooklyn?

I'm going to try to catch a game in Brooklyn. I also go to a Warriors' game or two each year and sit in the Sideline Club. I get tickets through Stubhub.

I bet it would be fun to see the fancy new arena, but I'm guessing that will be pretty expensive.

Last August, moved out here for school. Lived in a couple different neighborhoods, but both are along Flatbush, which is where Barclays Center (Nets Arena) is located.

once sat 6th row at staples on the baseline at the jazz end. jack black was in our section, and we were right across the tunnel from the jazz bench so when we shouted encouraging things (jazz were down most of the second half) they would turn and look.

(side note: didn't help, we still lost the game by double digits and our only glory was that memo nailed a late three to get the jazz into double digits so that the LAL fans didn't get free tacos. when that happened, we jumped up and started yelling at fans around us "oh, you didn't get your tacos!" amazing we didn't get beat up outside the arena. on the way back to the hotel that night, we got tacos.)

i'd like to see one in MSG even though i've heard the arena is an old-looking, out-of-date dump. it's still MSG and it's still in probably my favorite city in the world.

They're working on some major renovations.
