Will you do a AK for Biedrins/Radmanovic trade?

#1 it saves around $3M in payroll and luxury taxes

#2 i think Biedrins has the length to go against Gasol (Bynum is probably too big for Biedrins) and he is still only 24 years old

#3 Radmanovic can be a servicable backup stretch 4

only drawback - AK is probably gonna excel on the Warriors team which will may us feel bad...

Fire away!

Pre-Al Jefferson Trade: Yes

Today: No

The Jazz already have their starting five (PG: Williams, SG: Miles, SF: Kirilenko, PF: Millsap, C: Jefferson), and they are marketing them as such. Just look at this site to see what I mean: https://www.utahjazzstore.com. All the Jazz need to do now is to either 1) re-sign Fesenko as the back-up center and move Memo to back-up power forward or 2) sign a back up power forward and make Memo the back up center. Other than that, I think our roster is set.

Four man rotation of Jefferson, Millsap, Okur and Biedrins sounds really nice. Biedrins is on a lengthy, but reasonable contract. 4 years at 9 per. Straight salary is nice for the back end and next CBA.

Makes the Jazz really thin on the wing, though. Radmanovich is a throw in to make salaries work. He needs to be bought out immediately or plain released and eat the cap space.

Tough one to call, really. Front court is deep enough to keep Andris on the bench during clutch time, which is nice.

It is positive that I don't immediately dismiss the trade. Biedrins did go through a lot of injuries last year, so that's a concern, but so did Andrei.

GSW probably wouldn't do it, I think, but they're known to do anything.

The Jazz merchandise online store knows best, eh?

They would've put different players there if the Jazz had not acquired Jefferson or whoever. Don't be shocked if they rotate those five faces on the front page to show Memo or Raja or Hayward at some point there.

Sorry but Biedrins is overrated. Guy cannot shoot. He was hurt last year and really isn't worth 9 million a year. I have wanted to get rid of AK for a while now but his contract is coming off the books why bring in a guy who can't make 50 percent of his free throws. I am interested to see how AK plays with Jefferson and Millsap. I think this team will be running a lot more and with these three guys our defense will be vastly improved.

No. During the Playoffs, there is usually a 7-8 man rotation.

Williams
Bell
Jefferson
Millsap
Okur
Miles
Kirilenko
Hayward
(Price)

Even taking out Kirilenko and adding another C/PF is too many players that play the same position during the playoffs. At least Kirilenko can play 4 positions if needed to, Biedrins has (imho) been overrated as a center. I think if he is on any other team than the Warriors, he MIGHT fight for the starting C position.

I don't understand the Biedrens lovefest here. I've seen nothing to indicate that he's worth the money he's being paid.

Just trying to think of ways to compete with the Lakers. As we all know that's the hump we need to get over. Other than that, we can beat any team in the league. IMHO, the primary reason that the Lakers kill us is their length. It almost seemed like they were the big boys keeping the ball up high and our kids could reach the ball around the basket. Jefferson in with Boozer out is an upgrade in terms of length, but I don't think that's enough. Not saying Biedrins is the answer, but I am just looking at all realistic options.

Why would I want a poor mans memo Okur?

WHAT?

That statement doesn't even make sense. Biedrins and Okur are very different as players (at least in terms of big men). To qualify as a "poor man's" something, one has to be very similar, but worse. Biedrins and Okur aren't similar.

Are you getting Biedrins confused with Bargnani, or are you just talking out of your ***? Because Bargnani as a poor man's Okur would actually make sense. But don't worry, we're not getting him.

I predict we trade for him, along with Richard Jefferson, to acquire a ton of draft picks. Dennis Lindsey will be hailed as the Jazz savior. Yes, I said Dennis Lindsey, current Spurs assistant GM, but will be hired by the Jazz to replace KOC.

I'm with ya. We're pretty good now for the regular season and early playoffs but with that 6-10 C and 6-8 PF frontline, the Lakers will just be looking down on the Jazz again. That's fine if we're perfectly content with the results of recent seasons past -- I'm not, so yeah, keep looking for a non-scrub shot-blocking big.

That said, I'm not convinced with taking on Biedrins' 4 years given his recent injury history plus him being so miserable at the FT line (he'll be inutile ending games).

A few weeks ago I proposed AK for Dalembert + filler (Udrih or maybe Francisco Garcia, both with 3 contract years). I think the Kings would be willing to deal Dalembert's expiring contract if a team's willing to take on one of those contracts mentioned. Dalembert will be tradable again around mid-August.

Because he's the only player who could drink Fesenk under the table. You know how he massages his fragile ego in the offseason? Smoking and banging hookers in public, peeing on firehydrants, getting kicked out of strip clubs, and ****ting in the shower heads in hotel rooms. At least that's what has been reported.

Amazing call, Cy. Can you hop in that Delorean and give me a couple of hot stock tips? Better yet, just tell me who the Jazz will be drafting, That way I don't have to spend so much time in the 2014 draft thread. With all the time I'd save, I bet I could be very productive in other aspects of my life.

Thanks bro.

I don't even remember making that post. I must have been possessed by the ghost of Larry H, Miller.

It says "You must spread some reputation around before you give it to Ballpark Frank again."
