Big al didn't need to pay anyone to move him out. All he had to do was ask the fine folks at Jazzfanz to help him out and we would have had him on his way that night!
So the past 3 years, Big Al has rented a house a couple streets down from my in-laws in Cottonwood Heights. A couple weeks after the season ended, they spotted a moving truck there and they were packing everything up to leave. I would think if he had plans to stay in Utah, or even wanted to negotiate, he probably would have held off on the move, yeah?
Who signs a three-year lease?

I'm sure he's living in a moving van until his next contract.
Someone with a three year contract under the only team who wouldn't have traded him?
Even if he's going to the Lakers!

We'd have him packed and when he got there he'd probably find all his stuff broken!
Early AM today Locke called in to talk with DJ. It was on my alarm clock and I was trying to wake up--so I didn't quite catch the discussion leading up to it, but Locke said:
'There were times this past season when I could tell that Hayward and Favors wanted to explode on him (al) because of what he was doing, but he was the veteran, and supposedly the leader so they didn't feel like they could.' ' So the question is if he comes back do they still feel like they can't scream at him, and if so then he can't come back.'
The way Locke talked, it was almost a certainty that Al is gone. But I'm sceptical because I don't think Locke knows whats happening inside like he used to, or like he wants to.
I agree that Locke doesn't know all that's going on. He might have if he could keep his mouth shut, but the Jazz like their privacy so I doubt they pass stuff on to him. The Jazz Mafia know he's a snitch and a squealer so I bet they feed him bad info and watch to see how much of it gets out. He thinks he's an insider, but I really doubt he truly is.
He might not get clear indications but I think he has a feel for what is going on.
Locke is a shill. He toes the Jazz line. I think this "leak" means Al ain't coming back. The Jazz are just out there doing some pre-emptive spin control to justify NOT making an offer to their #1 scorer. I don't think they realize that true basketball fans already know Al must go.Early AM today Locke called in to talk with DJ. Who’s a Cadillac ack ack ack ack ack
You ought-a know by now
Opponents can't drive cuz he’ll break their back
and he’ll always gobble the rebounds
You should never argue with a crazy mi mi mi mi mi mind
You ought-a know by now

As much as I find Locke annoying, I envy those of you who can listen to him while driving around. I have to listen to Tom Tolbert and a bunch of Warriors homers talking complete nonsense.
The thought of Hayward and Favors wanting to scream at Big Al makes me happy.
I gave up on sports talk years ago. Too much drivel to find a small kernel of value. As much as I find Locke annoying, I envy those of you who can listen to him while driving around. I have to listen to Tom Tolbert and a bunch of Warriors homers talking complete nonsense.
I was a bit suprised that Locke was telling a story about players upset with other players. It wasn't inside info, just something he observed during games.
But it was extrodinary to me because the company line has been all sunshine and lollipops and how much the group of guys stuck together [scrm](except for that malcontent Milsap of course). [/srcm]
I appreciated Locke's telling it, because I'm still trying to understand the 11-12 Season that wasn't.
