Big News!

Would you recommend I play the computer to start? Or could I play online against other newbies?

Computer, for sure. I never play online personally.

My thing is I just don't know when I'd have any time to play. Like seriously. Between work, and working out, and keeping up the house, and fatherly duties, and my gambling, I feel like I'd buy it, play it for a day or two, and then do nothing else.

This game is a complete time suck. I think the game's catch phrase is "One... More... Turn..."

At this point the learning curve to play a decent game is big enough that if you don't have time and might not like this kind of game int he first place it might not be worth buying, especially not at full price. Steam will have a sale, probably before the Solstice.

Typical game times for normal settings are way longer than you could easily play against humans. Just coordinating schedules would be nightmarish. Imo definitely have to play computer.

Or just buy a previous version for cheaper.
