Bill Simmons: Jazz = Hornets

I still don't buy that NO has the better supporting cast..

Dwill=CP3
AK>Ariza
Millsap>West
Jefferson>Okafor (This could be argued due to Okafor's defense)

I think overall we have the more talented team. Peja can still shoot but is slow and can't defend anyone. Jason Smith is their first big off the bench. To be fair, I haven't seen him play, but they are awfully thin up front. Bellineli has been good, but can he keep it up? Also take into account that Dwill owns CP3 whenever they play and we clearly have the better team.

I think those are pretty gracious comparisons for Jazz players. NO's bench is definitely better than ours. With the way Jefferson has played (and I'm sure it'll get better anyway), Okafor's been the better C this year.

I don't doubt that NO's record is inflated, but saying that we have a better supporting cast and making it look so simple is pretty unreasonable.

I realize Okafor so far has been better, but to Al's credit, he is still learning the system. Tell me who you would rather have, Al or Okafor? Once he gets the hang of things, Al will be a beast for us. I would also want Millsap over West. Their guys have been hot these first 10 games. Once they start to cool off, people will see that they are not as good as they are playing right now. They do have better shooters and a slightly better bench, but I think we have the edge at overall talent.

N.O.'s bench is far superior to ours and their SGs kill ours. Peja blows, but he's still a better floor-spreader than anyone on the Jazz (by reputation if nothing else).
