If OKC doesnt already have Durant and Westbrook, then they go with Harden and Ibaka. Pretty simple. Anyway you look at it, I bet they always planned on keeping Ibaka.

The Jazz should sign Favors to whatever it takes, and keep him forever. They should also keep Kanter, because he is going to be a pretty stellar two way player. But Favors D could be all world. The Jazz situation is different though, they should have a core of Favors, Kanter, and Hayward, and then see if Burks works out, or add another guy who might pan out. We have a really bright future, they just need the playing time now.

Thanks for proving my point. Three offensive players to the one defensive player. If the Thunder could've just found another Ibaka type like you say the jazz can do shouldnt the thunder have signed Harden the superstar over Ibaka, the elite defensive player then signed another Ibaka type player for cheap?

As I said in the OP as well as later on in other posts, it's difficult to pick between Favors or Kanter that's for sure. Favors anchors our defense and he's coming along offensively. Kanter though has the potential to be a rare scoring big man ala Dirk who can score inside and out. He's also a solid defender in the post.

It's a tough decision and that's reflected in the poll which is currently 6 votes for Favors and 6 votes for Kanter.

I dont understand all the hate for Favors. He will easily be a top 5 defender getting 15 points a game. Harden is great and would love him here, but I definitely would keep Favors over Kanter. I can see Favors getting 15 points 10 rebounds and 3 blocks, and keeping the paint safe from easy layups. Kanter could be a great offensive player, but Favors does a lot mor that wins games.

Defenders like Favors are extremely rare. Why do you guys think the thunder paid Ibaka and ended contract talks and traded Harden. Ibaka's and Chandlers don't grow on trees. I don't know why everyone thinks Kanter is a better player

Great post. To add, isn't it more important to put a defensive big with an offensive player like Harden? Rather than an offensive one? Let Favors man the defensive end and Harden the offensive one.
