I am starting to be open to Corbin being part of the issue, but honestly since i want a top draft pick next year, he is best to be our coach... because if he truly is bad then we will lose more games with him as our coach and get a franchise changing pick. For now, i think the biggest issue is Al and the construction of this team by KOC. (At least the veteran side of this teams construction.)
The team is filled with good guys but not winners and competitors except Earl Watson (who unfortunately is a 3rd string pg at this point in his career)... he is the only one that has an edge amongst our veterans... .the rest are looking for their next paycheck... well, except AL but he is too nice and doesn't have a killer instinct.
KOC should have got a 1st Rounder from Atlanta for taking on Marvin and everyone said it at the time... I think Foye has been decent but i can't think of a single player except Watson and Carroll that I would want back next year out of our vets. I say Watson because i would rather the drafted PG or Burks get all the run and Watson to me will be a good player coach type player for our pg crop after the draft.
KOC put Ty in a pickle this year with all the contract year vets who have to be freaking out about a shrinking pie out there in free agency... I think Ty has done an admirable job keeping the team together while developing the young guys. I have my complaints about the lineups and how little Burks gets used but thats my preference... and since I am not coach and get to see these guys all the time I am dealing with incomplete data and simply expressing my preference.
All this said... tank next year... get a top pick... then fire Corbin for a coach that can instill some fire and a good offense and defensive system to complement our players.
