They have a good point guard, not a great point guard.
They have a very good shooting guard, but he's not really great and can be defended.
They have a good power forward, but not a great power forward.
They have a decent center, not a great center.
They're a good team, not a great team.
They should be a 5 - 8 seed in the west.

Wes seems to be struggling- anyone watching the games? What's up?

Let's trade next year portland!

Wes is a systems guy. He plays hard defense but isn't really amazing at any one thing. He basically hit the lottery when the Jail Raizers signed him to that contract.

Brandon Roy's knees are toast. He will never be the same layer he was a year or two ago. Bone on bone in BOTH knees.

Yep. In fact, he could be headed towards the dreaded micro-fracture surgery. He was going to try to play with the pain, but didn't even make it through the 3rd-quarter.
I feel a bit guilty. I'm glad Portland's team is going down the drain. For me, they rank right behind LA, Miami and Denver in terms of teams I really, really hate. Didn't used to be that way; in fact, I admired the way Pritchard had built the team and put the Jail Blazers days behind them. But after they pulled the Darius Miles' BS, then went after Millsap and Matthews, now I enjoy every bit of bad news. Still, it's a shame; Roy was one of the best players in the NBA. With him and then Oden, I really thought Portland was going to be the team to beat for the next decade.

I have no sympathy for the Blazers at all. Rich owner trying to screw over the small owner just because he can. Roy will soon be done, and his contract will pretty much make them irrelevant until 2014. Happy days.

He can't even have microfracture surgery. He has no cartilage in either knee. No surgery that can help him.

Yup. Roy is done, and Portland is going to sink back into the 7-9 range the next couple of years and probably hover around there for a while.

It was interesting how scouts were worried about his knees when he was coming into the league, saying he's got maybe 5-7 years of good basketball. And just like a time bomb, they went off and Roy has been absolutely terrible the last little while. I'm curious how much longer he'll be around.

I... actually feel bad for Blazer fans. They look like they're finally getting back from the Jailblazers days and every one of their important picks besides Aldridge has been injury plagued.
