Blow it up?

I’m not butt-hurt. You simply failed to recognize his talent and based your opinion on stats like a lot of armchair experts and sportswriters who never played the game. Maybe you did play but you seemed to have focused on Mitchell’s shortcomings.

I don't think you read what I wrote then. I've been high on Mitchell since summer league. People on here were incredibly sensitive that I brought up how historically bad he was offensively to start the season and translated that into I'm a Mitchell hater and I think his career will suck. Oh, and I said his dunk wasn't dunk of the year (it wasn't even the dunk of the week on nba.com)
What impresses me the most about Mitchell, at this point, is the way he carries himself on thr court. His demeanor and confidence demands respect and he's getting calls already as a rookie because of it. I'm not about to say he'll be a superstar already, but the better part of me tells me he has what Hayward never did - the "IT" factor.

Yeah, I was so wrong saying his first 5 games were atrocious on the offensive end. Please quantify how butt-hurt you are.

Hmmm, quantify....mildly-inflamed hemorrhoid on a scale of soft-as-a-baby's-butt to bursting-anal-cyst?

Saying his first 5 games were bad doesn't mean I was butt-hurt. That said, his play, particularly his shooting, made it about an 8.5/10 on the butt-hurt scale.

Now that we have two superstars is it time to shed some weight and go for the championship gamble?

Favors, Burks, Hood and maybe even Rubio... gone. Accumulate picks, get some young studs/free agents. Shoot for title in 2-4 years.

If Mitchell Blossoms into what we think he can be, the Jazz are an elite wing away from the title...

Freakin Hayward if he would have just stayed he'd be healthy and on his way to getting a statue and a chance at the title but instead totally dumped us for the big market blew up his ankle/leg. Hope he gets better but wish he would have just stayed that *** hole.

Um, "blowing it up" would mean getting rid of key players to get younger. I doubt DL goes for a tank. You risk offending Rudy just as you did Hayward and he signs elsewhere just when you think you're ready to contend.

Yes, I'm all for trading Favors, Burks, Hood and JJ. But what value do those guys have? Favs maybe gets Utah a late 1st from a contender. Hood might get Utah a protected pick. Burks has little value at his price. Utah might even have to GIVE a 2nd-round pick to dump his additional year. JJ might get a second-round pick from a playoff team.

If I were DL, I'd try to package Hood and next year's pick for a very good (like fringe all-star) player at the deadline. Mitchell is ready to start at the 2. Go for a primary scoring option at the 3 or 4.

Gallinari?

You said more than that. You said he was slow and couldn't shoot. One was blatantly untrue and the other can't be determined in 5 games.

He looked slow against NBA players and couldn't shoot his first 5 games. I don't know what games you watched, but he clearly struggled. I didn't mean he's actually slow. Comparatively to what I saw in summer league and preseason he did. There's a reason he was ranked the second worst rookie at one point. Dude did not play great. Dude has improved and still has lots to improve on. I'm not worried.

Did you see him in line at Crown Burger or something? Because he has not looked slow against NBA players in any game.

He gets everywhere he wants to go... gets good separation on his shot. The rim finishing has not been good, but he looked like he's learning to control himself based on his drives last night.

watched a few Lakers games. pretty unimpressed with Clarkson

I'd pass on him... Love would be good, but I wouldn't want to give up what they would want.
