Blow it up?

This is all pretty dumb.

If you're going to "blow it up" you get rid of Rudy also, you dont do **** like that by halves you go balls deep, Philly style into it. Picks plus 2 years of tank plus 2 more lottery picks on the way up.

Im not ready for that. This offseason is going to shake the league up again so Im happy to see where we end up after me move Favs, Burks, JJ and who we target in FA; Jabari or Gordon??

Im rolling with Gobert, Mitchell, Exum. Anyone else id be willing to flip.

Not nuclear, just a grenade. Keep Exum for sure. Ingles for sure. Just shop AB, DF and Hood. Maybe shop Rubio just to see what we can get. Joe Jesus needs to retire here.

The only sure thing to have held onto coming into this season was Gobert, sooo... welcome?

I think we need to go after Jabari Parker. He seems like an absolutely perfect fit next to Gobert. He is a gamble, but one worth taking.

Rubio, Exum, Mitchell, Parker and Gobert as the future.

Could Crowder be available? CLE needs legit bigs. Favors for Crowder + filler?
I'm wondering if we might have to provide the filler. Which players contact situation is more palatable of favors and crowder?

Imo the focus should be to condense assets such as favors/JJ & possibly Rubio/Hood/Ingles if someone offers a potential impact player in return.

The team in no way should be blown up but despite the fact that our defense seemingly gives us an opportunity to win any given night, it's clear that we aren't contending this year. Or likely even next, barring a drastic development/miracle.

Imo if a combination of any assets outside of gobert/mitchell (within reason) brings back an elite talent, we shouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger. While all of those players undoubtedly bring a lot of value to this team, role-players & 4th/5th starters are much easier to acquire than top-tier talent (especially for a franchise such as this one).

Unless Hood, Exum, etc develops into a legit star(s), we will need (at least) a 3rd impact player if we are going to have any hope of contending in the near future. And that's assuming DM pans out, which I am.

Favors contract expires after this year and is a much larger contract. Crowder is under contract for 2 more seasons after this for about 7 million each year. Crowder's contract is very good going forward. Although he has not been playing well this season so far.

We would have to take another player back as well as Crowder.

Edit: I think the only deal we could make to get Crowder for Favors would have to include Frye.

If Cleveland doesnt get going and rumors keep up I think there is a decent chance Cleveland blows that team up at the deadline. Lebron is leaving anyways.

I doubt they are willing to give him up unless they get something good. What are you trading them? I dont think a 1/2 year rental of Favors is worth much to them. Hood and Exum are RFA which is what they might be worried about with Jabari is getting a big off season package. I dont think Burks has much trade value around the league. Who else are you willing to trade for him? What are you willing to give up to get him?

Also I am not sure why we have so much trade talk. The deadline when deals are by far the most likely to happen is quite a long ways away. The NBA landscape will be different by then.

Would you trade Favs for Jabari straight up before the All-star break?

I think there is a good chance Favs would sign with the Bucks and that the Bucks won't match anything big for Parker so they might as well get someone in the door while they can.

Maybe a sign and trade??

Why wouldn't they match something for Jabari? They seem to still like him and he seems to still want to be in Milwaukee. He is their key player to become a contender along Giannis. He is their second most valuable player. I am sure they would trade him but it would take a good trade to pry away someone with that much potential.
