What's new

Bobcats at Jazz Monday Jan 31 @ 7:00pm

....yeah, he shined alright! 7 turnovers while cashing a paycheck for tonight's game for over $200,000 bucks!

Let me guess you did not actually watch the game. Some of the turnovers were from guys not catching his passes and a bad charging call. Sold game for AK. Very active. Hope he keeps it up when DWill is back.

Only Watson has been solid in your list.

I am still not sold on consistency from the wings-AK, Bell and Miles.

Millsap has also been inconsistent although he plays through injuries and credit has to be given to him for that

I hope when Deron comes back the team doesnt go back to standing around watching what he is going to do next.
Watson was the only one I said has been solid...just sayin

Crazy game in that it seemed like every time the Jazz went on a run and built up a 10-11 point lead Watson would get in foul trouble and Price would come in and the lead disappeared. Not blaming the refs exactly as no one made Price play like monkey balls but none the less combined those 2 things and it was very aggravating.

I'm sure the Jazz have won this year with Javie ref'f'ing but this is the first one I remember.

Like some have said earlier glad Sap plays through being hurt but darn he was turn over prone tonight, and Bell glad he's playing better but he is brutal (as was Price) on the fast breaks tonight and most of the season.

But I'll take the win any win at this point, B2B missing DWill isn't anything to scoff at.

Harp actually came through with 3 solid points I completely agreed with in between 'go-go gadget' beep boop 'showing off his point guard skills.'

1. Al has to set up closer in the box. He really does often catch the ball back to the basket from 8. He has to be more physical getting into good position.
2. When Charlotte put Mohammed in the game we went right to Al to exploit that matchup. This needs to happen more. Al is way too skilled to waste when he's got the right matchups.
3. When Al gets the ball on the block, guys have to make a much more concerted effort to cut. Once that ball goes into him, the weakside needs to cut and screen.

I was not thrilled with CJ's game last night. He was feeling it, but half his drives he pulled up for fading jumpshots. He's leaving free throws on the floor taking more difficult shots. And the last two nights he's been very passive going after the glass.

I see people calling the game ugly but I didn't really see it that way. The turnovers obviously left a stink. But I don't care about turnovers if the right passes are getting made. At least 5 of those turnovers were good passes that guys just didn't handle. Millsap's banged up hands didn't help. We also must have left 6 breaks unfinished which, even without Deron, is pretty unusual. On the whole, though, the offense ran pretty well.

Aww yeah! A totally SOLID home win against Eastern powerhouse CHARLOTTE is a motha****in STATEMENT to league!

2 good nights from Bell and yet I'm still forced to hope he gets hurt for 2 weeks to force Jerry to play other lineups. I still believe this team can get it together, but it can't possibly reach its potential playing a 34 year old shooting guard who can't rebound, pass, or facilitate the offense in any way 30 minutes a night. Every time I think about how awful it's going to be watching this happen the rest of the season I remember that two years from now I'll be watching a 36 year old shooting guard run around for 30 minutes a night because, you know, he plays defense.

I didn't watch the game, but this is a neat thing that came of it, you could say:

I only caught the last 2 minutes of the game but looking at the box score based on the disparity in free throws I can see that Javie was doing all he could to help the Bobcats win. I wish Stern would show up at one of the Jazz home games in which Javie is refereeing. Then the fans could chant "Javie sucks" and Stern will finally get a clue and see that Javie never calls anything in favor of the Jazz and hopefully suspend him for life!

What would make you think he disapproves? But it would be funny to turn those Javie sucks into Stern sucks chants although if you do that I'm sure many of those fans would mysteriously disappear.
