Not really. Bogut plays about half a season. Dude is always injured.
 
I think the Warriors are flailing to try to open up cap space for Howard or anyone else. Bogut is damaged goods, is expensive, and not on strategy for us. This is the Warriors trying to keep Dwight's interest and use the situation to wiggle out of some bad contracts.

There are other productive things the Jazz could do with that cap space.

Problem with what I've seen so far is that the Jazz seem to be considering Bogut the prize, not the means to a prize (draft pick/player on rook contract), so the other teams get the assets, Jazz just get Bogut...
 
According to ESPN, GS is not shopping Bogut - just the two guys.

There is no way the Jazz are pondering salary dump activities for Bogut. It is Barnes. Also, I'm excited about the fact that we'd help Dwight go to GS. That is the best possible place he could go to end up the least productive over time. I don't trust them as an organization. I don't trust that Curry has a long term future in NBA. I don't trust Dwight to be a cohesive force. Houston is the worst place for him to land from my perspective. They have Harden who is the same age as our kids.

but actually, i don't understand how there'd be any sign-and-trade with the Jazz involved. The Jazz are just a salary dump option... true?

Please no. There are about 8 other players they have I'd rather get. Not an over rated injury waiting to happen

We need to go after Barnes hard. I've always known the Black Falcon would fly in Utah.
He's got the length, BB IQ, and athleticism we need at that position.
He is our perfect 3 we need to compliment the core 5. Burks is the 6th man, and plays a ton of mins.
