What's new

Boozer has to be coming back.

Doesn't he?

It certainly seems as if that's the plan by the FO after seeing these two picks. At least, that's how I make sense of it. It seems like drafting Hayward to play SF is a pretty decent idea if the FO thinks that they can resign Boozer and possibly get a half decent big for the expiring contract of AK.

If that is the plan, at least there seems to be a method to the madness. However, if the FO is planning on letting Boozer walk, I have no idea what the "F" just happened tonight.

Of course he doesn't have to be coming back. This was a terrible draft plain and simple.

There was a time when you realized that there was no such thing as the tooth fairy right? Similarly, there will come a time where you realize that KOC has no ****ing clue what he's doing...that time is now.

Have to admit that was my thought going in: if the Jazz don't draft a PF, it means Boozer will be back. Honestly, with the uncertainty over Okur, how do you NOT re-sign a player that also eats minutes at the 5.

I'd do cartwheels if it also meant KOC had a deal for AK in place. How can the team re-sign Boozer with the risk that they would NOT be able to shed AK's salary. That's $34M in salary and luxury tax.

It was a bad draft no matter how you spin it.. With the poor pick choice, unless there is a trade, the Jazz will need to keep Boozer unless they don't want to make the playoffs next year.

I wanted 'em to miss the playoffs this year - so they could keep their own pick and have two picks in the first round. Two players in the first woulda been better than a coupla SFs. Or they coulda used those two first round picks to move up in the draft.

But again the Jazz are just good enough to suck.

I hate Boozer. Give me the lottery.

Considering what happened in this draft do you have any confidence that if they have more picks next year, they would pick any better?

Wait a second - the Jazz don't deserve any more lottery picks anyway.

Go Thunder!!

If there is anything that sucks more than today's draft for the Jazz, it would be how much it DIDN'T suck for some of our rivals.

The other teams did something. Yes, I understand that making moves means risk losing. But it's like the poker table. If you play conservative and don't take certain risks then you guarantee losing by just slowly bleeding all your money away.

I think NJ taking Favors hurts Boozer's chances of striking gold there.

However, with us bypassing any big man, it basically makes us more desperate to resign Boozer. Perhaps Greggie doesn't mind paying the LT again for one more year until AK's contract comes off the books? We just cannot go into this season with a frontline of Fess/Kosta and Millsap/AK. That isn't taking us to the playoffs anytime soon.

KOC said he hoped the fans wouldn't be booing in two years.
So with the #9 we got a player we KNEW wouldn't contribute in the first year? Pathetic.

Honz, I you are fined $1,000,000 for being the president of the Draft Gordon Hayward fan club.

We accept cash, check, and Visa.
