Boston radio says Hayward is coming to Celtics

Take this little nugget for what you think it's worth.........

Yesterday on the Boston sports show Felger & Mazz (98.5 The Hub)one of the hosts said he had "insider" information that Hayward has made the decision to come to Boston. Even though he was "torn" about the decision. Here was the reasoning:

-Underappreciated. Utah market is too small, not getting any recognition.
-Thinks he should have been an All-Star the previous two seasons. Blames that on Utah market.
-Wants to play in the East, away from Warriors.
-Likes Celtics system/Brad Stevens

Nothing groundbreaking here, but thought I would pass along the "insider" info.

I was in Best Buy yesterday and heard that this was true until a magic churro, yea even the rally churro, came down from Mt. Timpanogas and explained to Hayward that the churro has a plan for him and that he needs to stay.

Then the ghost of Hot Rod transported Hayward to Vivent Home Energy Solutions Delta Center 20 years into the future and showed him the statues we built for him, Gobert, and 2020 league MVP Joe Ingles (he started eating salads and doing crossfit). Explained to him that the league needed them to slay the evil empire in the Bay Area that will surely consume the league if no one rises to challenge them.

#stayward.

Yeah I am going to call BS on some nobody sports show from Boston having insider info.

Maybe he does go to Boston but this radio person is full of crap.

Spence Checketts rebuffs the local boston guy's report and his sources say we are trying to do stuff.

I don't believe Checketts either really. But there are multiple reports that the Jazz are trying to do "stuff. Especially on the point guard front.

This radio station is the home of the Celtics. Calling them a "nobody" isn't accurate.

Was being sarcastic... checketts is our hacky version of what they did in Boston.

I do appreciate passing the information though. Boston has irrational confidence about hayward at this point. Clear when you read any national article or listen to Simmons or O'Conner. By the way they make it sound Ainge and Gordon are getting lunch at Subway and hitting up FroYo after right now.

In other news, southern california radio is saying it will be hot in southern california this summer.

I'll give Gordon 2 years of more media coverage before he misses the days of minimal coverage. He did not appear very comfortable even at the All-Star game.

Let's point on why Hayward probably hasn't committing to Boston

1) Does he know if he really wants to play with IT?

2) Does he know if Butler/George are actually going there? That has to weigh into it.

3) Does he know they won't make a play for someone that will make it impossible to sign him?

4) Does he know what the Jazz are doing with George Hill?

I am not saying he isn't leaning that way. A lot can happen in the next couple weeks. If the Jazz have the same team plus 2 draft picks on July 1, I would bet he does leave. But if they have done something major, that has change his process.

If he leaves he will realize how good he had it here. Will be kind of sad... not D-Will levels of sad, but sad nonetheless.

Under appreciated? What's his source for this. All indications are that he will be maxed by the jazz if he stays.

As for the other stuff, he'd only have that knowledge if he knew Hayward personally.

Don't waste our time with this whimsical ****
