Boston to make huge push for Hayward

Burke and Hayward for

Rondo + (any of)

Parker
Wiggins
Embiid
Randle

---

Would sign that deal in ONE second.

Tongue in, or out, of cheek?

I think log thinks that there is no way that the celtics pick would get us wiggins, jabari, embiid, randle if they add hayward.
And he is right.
What he is not understanding is that the jazz losing hayward and burke makes our pick land one of those guys...... plus we would have a late lottery pick from boston and the gs pick.

I do that trade as well pkm

Okay...

But he said, "even if the pick netted us a top 4... "

I see, so bostons pick top 4 and the jazz pick top 3 (since they would suck without hayward and burke)

So basically hayward and burke for rondo, parker, and embiid.

Lograd dumb if he don't do dat trade

I don't like this thread. Can we just tank

what is with your infatuation with rondo? the guy honestly is average at best.

He had above average finishers on his team. Made him look real ****ing good.

Rondo's counterparts now all SUCK without him. Peep dem stats.

And don't give me the waaaaa they're suddenly old now..

Not a big fan of da Rondo at all. He's a good player, but his shooting really irks me. Jazz would definitely still need a Parker or Wiggins to go with him.

Hayward gets no love around here. I am telling you he is exaclty the kind of player you want playing with this phenominal pick we all want to see the Jazz get in 2014. I truly hope the Jazz keep him next year. I'd go to 11- 12 mil if I get my superstar.

Because he does that every ****ing night?

No. Who does? But, that performance is far better than I have seen from ANY prospect in the 2014 draft thus far. A Boston draft pick after the addition of Hayward would be a mid first rounder. Boston is in the east, and would definitely be in the playoffs with Hayward --that's a waste of an asset on our part when you consider we have the financial situation to resign him at whatever he is worth.

I understand the argument that trading Hay would make us worse, and thus a better pick for ourselves, but what if pick wrong? What if Hayward blows up? He keeps showing signs of improvement. He has taken on a lot more responsibility this year, and is starting to show that he can handle that mantle. True. Hayward is probably not a #1 option, but I think he can be a damn good #2 guy. We need a #2 as well.

What we should be pushing for is development of all the young guys, Kanter, Gobert, Clark, and Evans included. That team would struggle until they figured it out, thus developing our current assets and getting us a better pick in the process.

Sorry, it's just so intellectually dishonest that it's offensive.

Intellectually dishonest would be failing to admit that you are wrong. People talk about Hayward's inconsistency and look at this draft as the end all be all of basketball greatness, but fail to realize how Jabari has struggled recently, Randle has had his struggles, how Wiggins disappears from games and has struggled, how Embid is a potential prospect, and Exum is an unknown commodity.

The sure thing is Hayward will become more consistent as the players around him become more consistent.

Agreed.
