Boston to make huge push for Hayward

Dudes Rondo was easily the best PG behind Rose when they were both Healthy.... If Rondo comes back even 90% of what he was jazz are contending next year... Straight up!!!!

True... Has he learned to shoot yet though? I am still a little bit worried he won't come back at 90%.

Doesn't rondo disappear in the crunch time? And shoot 3 poorly?

He does shoot poorly from 3 but he has won the championship and might be the best defender at his position in the leagur and is also one of the best passers in the nba (an important skill for a point guard to possess)

He is a poor shooter but most smart basketball analists considered him to be a top 5 point guard in the league despite his shooting woes

And what about his attitude?

Definate red flag.

I have never met the guy and don't know the exact details for why he has a bad rep so I can't say for sure, but its definately something the jazz should take into consideration if they look to aquire him

So, between bad shot and bad attitude you still think we, utah, who banished deron for giving Sloan flack, should still pick him up on a huge contract?

Probably not..... but if getting him also got us wiggins (with our own pick) and anothe top 10 pick (bostons) then I change my tune and welcome him to jazz and focus on his skills instead of his defficiencies

If you want to do something drastic to move Hayward then I'd leave Trey out of it. Pushing for Kanter + Hay for Nerlens and Nerorleans protected first (top 5; will be lottery) would be the avenue to go down IMO.

Kanter, Hayward, GSW 2014, subtract Smart/Gordon/WCS

for

Nerlens
Parker/Wiggins/Randle/Embiid
Rodney Hood

2 young guys for 2 young guys.

I'm not as confident in Burke and Hayward for draft picks and Rondo.

Hayward and Burks.. or Hayward and Marvin + GS pick. But not Burke.

Its a tough choice for me too which usually means its a pretty even trade.

It would help to know how much hayward is going to cost as well.

If hayward is going to command 4 years and 58 million then I definately make the trade.
If it more reasonable like 4 years 50 million then I probably dont do the trade

I think it is insane that anybody wants to trade Burke. He is exactly, analytically, what you would you want in a Point guard. Good enough to be a difference maker, just out of the top 5 so he doesn't demand a max contract, and clutch as hell. If a top 5 pg demands a max salary, then you don't want one because a point guard making max won't win you a championship. I'd rather have Sam Cassell teamed with an Olajuwon than Chris Paul teamed with a lesser light like Blake Griffin.

Burke and Hayward for

Rondo + (any of)

Parker
Wiggins
Embiid
Randle

Would sign that deal in ONE second.

Was srs there log... u wouldn't do that? Srsly?

Put it that way, guaranteed that scenario, then yeah I would. As it stands, with so many unknowns, well the devil you know, you know?

Okay... makes sense. When u said even if we knew... but I get it.
Peace bro.

Well, I was also concerned enough about Rondo's return. What is he going to be? And I didn't say I absolutely wouldn't do the trade, but just that one of those guys and a broken Rondo would not be enough to make it a no-brainer. Maybe put it this way, would you trade Hayward and Burke straight up for one of those 4 only? So give up Hay and Burke and get back Parker, and nothing else. Not sure if that is the best move, to be honest.

Rondo's counterparts now all SUCK without him. Peep dem stats.

And don't give me the waaaaa they're suddenly old now..

To be fair, they were all very very good prior to being Rondo's teammates. The BS about Rondo being average at best is ridiculous though. If he could make any type of jump shot, he is basically John Stockton and Gary Payton's lovechild.

Lemme troll mate... breakin upa ma stride.
