For anyone that cares, I decided I wanted to treat myself and buy something today. So I went to Wal-Mart and bought a two hobby boxes of 2015 Panini Court Kings for $49.99.

Seems expensive for a a couple boxes of basketball cards and it is, but I said **** it and bought one. I love basketball cards, btw, been collecting them since I was little. This brand is specifically for rookies so of course I was hoping for a Wiggins or Parker autograph card, but a good consolation prize would be a Exum or Hood autograph card. It guarantees 1 autograph card and 1 jersey card per box on average.

This is what I got in the first box:

Devyn Marble autograph card (lol)

Joel Embiid jersey card

This is what I got in the second box:

Rodney Hood autograph card

Elfrid Payton jersey card

Lol the second box was definitely better than the first box, I also got a couple of serial numbered sapphire cards as well. The Hood autograph card made it all worth it to me and it's worth more to me than it would to non-Jazz fans.

I just wanted to share this with you guys, I thought it was pretty cool, thanks for reading.

.....when you come up with a Pete Rose, Nolan Ryan, Hank Aaron and Willie Mays rookie card, then get back with us. What you've got...burn them, then burn the ashes! Just curious, though....what is the most valuable Basketball card in NBA history?

Michael Jordan's 1986 fleer rookie card, if you can get a BGS 10 (perfect condition, perfect centering, no dings on corners) I saw that it's worth about $100,000. Kind of impossible to get because the centering is usually off since it's an older card or you get a nicked corner or something.

I can't even remember who Devyn Marble is. Without Google.....I would guess he played for West Virginia?

Box breaks are a good idea though. That used to be my big Christmas thing. Get a couple Upper Deck boxes and go to town. I'm sure it would be much less exciting now, but man, back in the day the anticipation of digging for Jordans, Malones, Stocktons, Olaujawons, Ewings, Kemps, Paytons, etc. was awesome. I think I'm going to order some sealed mid-late 90's Upper Deck boxes off Ebay and give it a go now that you bring it up.

Can't figure out why a Michael Jordan card would be worth any where near that kind of money?!!! He holds NO NBA records of any sort, either career totals or individual records. You would think a Kareem card would be the most valuable! Or maybe a Bill Russell rookie card because of all his championships! Heck, John Stocktons got two NBA records that will never be broken! How much is his rookie card worth?
