Brandon Bass - could he become a trade-deadline jazz-man?

I like the game style of Brandon Bass, and would love to see him in Jazz crew. SVG's system is at his best and most efficient when his team plays with a mobile, quick line-up, whose all but center can shoot the ball from outside well. Ryan Anderson has been able earn 10-15 mins in the rotation despite the deep and talented Magic bench thanks to being able to shoot the ball from outside which helps the Magic do a beter and efficient job spreading the floor and spacing. Spreading the floor is as much important for the Magic team whose focal point -Howard- needs space inside the pained area to be a factor as it is for the Jazz team whose offense requirres great spacing to make things easier for interior passing and off-the-ball movement. Lewis will not move to 3, according to SVG. However, I do not think Bass will be available, I think Magic FO respects the game of Bass and they might think Gortat (ideal subs for Howard) and Anderson (ideal subs for Lewis) will not make the roster deep upfront.

I feel like we already have a bass type player in Millsap. No need to have 2 of those types on the same team.

Like the guy and the player, but the Jazz don't need him. He'd cost a lot of money and/or I wouldn't choose Bass over anyone we might trade to get him.

Agree with Numberica and Mambo. We don't need another undersized PF. Now if he came across as part of an AK trade, then I'd understand it. But if AK is traded, it better be for an all-star quality SG or SF. I'd say 5, but that is completely unrealistic.

Gotta go with the horses we have right now. I'm hoping beyond all hope that the new, improved Fesenko could match up with Bynnum. Then you have Jefferson vs. Gasol. Millsap did o.k. vs. the Lakers and maybe Bell can slow down Kobe. Another year older for Fisher means he'd be less effective against Deron. At some point, you gotta figure Derek is going to be a HUGE liability for the Lakers. Let's hope they acknowledge it too late.
