The magic are looking for the right deal for brandon bass. Should we use our trade exception and get him? isn't it already counting against us anyway? might as well get brandon bass I can't think of anyone better than bass that we could use our exception on. He could become our new "millsap" and bring energy off the bench?

Financially, Bass is an 8 million dollar player for the Jazz. Based on what little I've seen of Evans, I'm not sure Bass can do anything he can't, and I'm pretty confident that he's athletically inferior and has less upside. We have no minutes for Evans, so I'm not sure why we're spending 8 million dollars on an insurance policy who isn't better than at least 5 big men we already have.
Other than that, I'd pull the trigger.

I would pass on Bass, like mentioned above he wont really do anything that Evans can't do and Evans is a lot cheaper and has a lot more upside. The Jazz front court actually looks pretty good right now so I think it's set. Bass is an interesting player but I just don't think the Jazz have a need for him, because with the front court they have he isn't going to play much and at about 8 million in total cap hit he just isn't worth it.
