Break in Susan Powell Case

That news conference was pure rubbish. What on Earth is going on? Either there is some absurdly solid evidence out in the desert, or the WVCPD just pulled the biggest boner of all time.

So West Valley sets up the news conference but some guy from Ely is giving the presser? That didn't make any sense at all to me. Why didn't some one from WVC get up and talk? Why even announce anything at all? Why not just go out there, do a search and then say something if you have found her? It's no wonder it's taken them so long to find this lady. If I were her family, I'd be upset with the way that whole press conference was handled.

What a worthless press conference. Were some police officers bored and needing some attention this week?

In other news, the economy still sucks, the middle east and Africa are both hell holes, there are a lot of stars in the sky, the 49ers don't have a QB, Romney is kissing GOP ***, and Obama is still black.

I'm going to hold a Jazz Fanz press conference. Feel free to ask me any questions. No limits. However, most of my answers will most likely be, "I'm not sure abuot that. Once again, I cannot comment in regards to that."

OJ got away with it. Casey Anthony got away with it, and yes Josh Powell seems to have gotten away with it. I disagree with Trout. You don't need to be extremely smart to allude our best criminal/scientific minds. There just has to be a sliver of reasonable doubt. Oh, and the lack of a body sure doesn't hurt either.

Maybe you're right, but this is 2011, and it's pretty damn hard to kill someone and get away with it. Especially if you're a moron, like Josh seems to be.

New theory! She ran away with that guy and was going to come clean and he said no because he didn't want to be held responsible for the consequences so he killed her and threw her down a mind shaft and called police to tell them. Life Time channel is just waiting to make a movie out of this whole thing.

You watch far too much CSI and Law and Order. Better than a third of all murders in the last 30 years are unsolved (and barely over half of all murders are solved in short order).

I would guess it's much harder to get away with killing your wife with an unbelievable alibi, but still.

*Mind shaft: When your wife says that she's horny and wants sex but falls asleep as soon as her head hits the pillow.

I've never seen a single episode of CSI, and haven't watched L&O in 10 years or so.

This has been, without doubt, the most bizarre sequence of police work I have ever seen or heard of. A total cluster **** if you will.

So the police ran a sting/stunt trying to get him to revisit the dump site, whereever it was? And Josh just sat still and said "I hope they find some live people in some motel/hotel place"?

They must have had a CC transaction on his card located in Ely since about day one.

The heavily-cleaned carpet spot by the door says something happened there. The location says it was an attempt to prevent her leaving on her own accord, and the whole false story about where he went that night says he tried to follow her and knew something about where she went and who with. The direction on his claim and other personal info says they went west on I-80. Josh himself went that way later, probably truely looking for her.

That nobody has seen her says she's dead now. She took off on her own, but the dude she was with prevented her from contacting anyone because he's on the lam for something. He "had to " kill her to keep his own self free. The stupid police statements/suspicions and press chatter could be blamed. . . . but I"d be lookin' at the lightly populated outofthe way old mining camps all over Northern Nevada. I've heard tale of some dudes with large cash wads, hiding out the regular purges within drug operations and the law, being holed up in old abandoned shacks and trailers in them thar hills.

Love how They said it was successful. Yeah, you went out looking for a body and didn't find anything. How is that successful?

Haha, they said it was their goal to go out there and look around, and they accomplished their goal. Pros at work.

I guess it's a good attitude to have. Before I go to bed tonight, my goal tomorrow is to wake up. When I do wake up, the day is going to be a successful day and I will do nothing else for the rest of that day.

The story gets better and better.

Josh Powell's dad allegedly made sexual advances towards Susan Powell.
