Is this a break out game for Kanter, or a fluke?

I am leaning toward fluke. I just don't see the fire that would drive this kind of performance even every few games, let alone night in and night out.

This isn't the only time he's had a good game. He's having eye-poppingly good performances at about the rate Hayward is right now. That could be seen as a good or bad thing, of course.

I didn't get to watch the game, was it a significantly better performance than any of his recent good scoring games? He has definitely developed nicely this season I think. How long has it been since this board had a "kanter is a bust" meltdown?

Who are Buck's big men? Kanter will always dominate undersized or skinny bigs. Zaza is really the only player on that team that presents anything formidable.

The game was faster paced because the Jazz weren't playing defense, so probably more possessions for Kanter/ Favors didn't play much.

For those curious:

Kanter has had the following this year

>= 20 pt games: 11
>= 25 pt games: 4
>= 10 reb games: 14
>= 20pt, 10 reb games: 7
>= 50% fg games: 22

interpret as you may

This was neither a fluke or a breakout game.

Since the first game of the year kanter has been our best scorer and rebounder on the team (and worst defender and passer probably too)

If kanter started and played minutes similar to favors and hayward he would lead the team in scoring and rebounding and probably shooting percentage as well.

If yall havent noticed yet i dont think you ever will. Is seems whenever kanter has a good game we almost always loose.... idk why!? His good games just Dont give us the winning edge. theyr are just good stats.

This is true, but are we losing because kanter had a good game?
Or are we losing because the only reason kanter was able to have a good game was due to getting more minutes..... and the reason kanter got more minutes was because of: A. an injury, or B. the starters sucked and got us into a huge deficit

So you could draw the conclusion that when kanter has a good game, the team is usually not healthy which contributes to the loss..... Or favors or marvin played very poorly (allowing kanter more minutes) contributing to the loss.

Its crazy how much blame gets thrown kanters way. I hope we never have a 21 year old, hard worker, with tons of skills and the potential to average 20pts and 10 rebounds per game ever again. Nobody wants players like that.

Good Post.

Remind me what our record is when he starts due to a Favors injury? I'll give you a hint... It's not good.

Remind me when he has been the first option on offense. I was alluding to his offensive performances, not about the Jazz record with Kanter in the starting lineup.

Kanter is probably the best player on the team at taking advantage of mismatches and Milwaukee had nobody that could defend him. So I'd say it's not a fluke because if the Jazz played the Bucks again Kanter would score a lot of points. Will he be able to do this every game? Definitely not.

Kanter is ready to lead the league in scoring and turnovers.

?? Kanter averages 1.8 turnovers per game, Stephen Curry averages 4.0. There is about as big of a possibility of him leading the league in scoring as him leading the league in turnovers.
