breaking news--Donovan has left foot contusion, uncertain for Game 2

****. He'll play tho. No mere contusion can hold back Spida.

Same kind of crap happened last year and Gobert came back. Still lost badly to warriors. If he can step back to the floor healthily though, Jazz chances are more than last year.

I hope he sits out if it means he's better for game 3. We only need one game on the road if we protect home court, and it doesn't have to be game 2.

Uh... Ya, it'll be super easy to take the series if we go down 2-0...

We better hope he plays in game 2.

I have a long-running theory that Donovan's elaborate and varied choice of shoes throughout the season has negatively effected his play at times.

He seems to lose shoes on the court more often than any other player. He often has to stop to re-tie them, to adjust them, or to chase them down when they fling off his foot. I've also seen him change shoes mid-game after having mobility issues.

I have to wonder if unfamiliar and untested footwear has contributed to his current foot problem. I wish he'd just pick one reliable pair of shoes and stick with them.

I get what you’re saying, he does change shoes a lot but welcome to the modern NBA. I don’t think it’s caused that much of an issue, he loses a shoe here and there but for the most part it’s been fine. Lots of players on the team switch shoes from Game to Game.

As for the original intent of the post, I would put his chances of playing at 99.99% chance...you could see it all over his face today during his interview he isn’t going to miss the game, I guess unless the medical staff absolutely makes him sit.

He is 1000% playing.

I have no idea or strong feeling how this game turns out.

But if I had to guess, I am going with Jazz winning by 6 in a game where Quin makes some adjustments to get Ingles and Favors more involved in the offense and a similar highish volume/efficient performance from Mitch....

Pretty sure he's playing and I'm glad it's only a contusion/bruise. If he doesn't, then I get that and would understand. He has to make that decision, but I'm sure he'll go.

Ingles was taken out of that game and that was the biggest deal for us. I imagine we will try to get him involved again because it really worked. Less ISO, more ball movement and switching.

Mitchell is a stud and I am sure he will want to play. Management will always want to be cautious but he also has 3.5 days to recover from leaving the game until tipoff. That's a big deal.

Any news on Adams and Paul George's injuries?
