*Breaking News* Kawhi Wants Out

Not really without trading Kyrie, Hayward or Horford. And that is if San Antonio wants any of those 3 - Hayward injury, Kyrie 1 year, Horford old.

Boston lacks the contract to match up to Kawhi's $18+.

Lets say Kawhi demands LA and San Antonio refuses to take Lonzo (fit), Deng (contract) or Kuzma (they don't like him). Couldnt we facilitate a 3 team deal:

LA gets Kawhi
Spurs get Ingram, Bradley, expirings (Burks and Jonas), #25 and #21
We get Deng and Kuzma

LA gets their guy and gets to shed Deng

Spurs get young Ingram, 2 1sts, Bradley and decent expirings.

Jazz get Kuzma

So we eat Deng's contract for Kuzma and losing #21?

I think we can get a 'Kuzma' if we choose correctly at #21. Then we won't have to eat Deng's.

I mean, Kyries salary is identical, no?

While Hayward is coming off an injury (he’s also locked up for 3 more years), so is Kawhi. Obviously SA would have to send out more salary with KL in a Hayward deal but that’s not as far fetched as some of the other deals.

Kyrie and picks, even if Kyrie walks in a year isn’t that bad if the picks are the Memphis and Sacto picks.

I don't see Boston dumping Kyrie or Hayward so soon especially with the Sac or Mem pick. I think Boston's best offer will be Brown, Rozier, Morris and picks. Ainge is so stingy.

I kind of hope that happens because Boston has so many picks that I worry about a really long dynasty. If Boston sheds some of those assets to get Kawhi and he or Kyrie bolts after a year (NY, LA, whatever), its a win for everybody.

That's probably the most realistic trade that could go down. Having said that Ainge would be getting away with murder with that offer. Jaylen Brown was a nobody this time last year.

It's essentially a lottery pick and Brown for Kawhi. That's a steal.

San Antonio would walk before they take that deal. I mean they were a playoff team without Leonard, but they are getting old. Brown isn't what you plan a rebuild around.

I would imagine it would be the players I put in the trade plus the Sac pick and maybe the Memphis pick too. For Boston, its worth it if you keep Tatum, Horford, Kyrie, Hayward and get Kawhi. They could pay to keep Smart too.

Agreed. But it may be the best deal they can get. The Kings' pick is probably the main course of that deal, Brown is like a side dish. The uncertainty of where that Kings pick will land is probably why I'm iffy on that deal.

I'd rather take a sure fire talent, i.e., Tatum and Ingram... in that order.

now report is,

leonard want's a big market, but doesn't want the spotlight. LMAO. this guys uncle is an absolute clown. Basically what he wants to say is, "I WANT LEONARD TO PLAY WITH LEBRON"

So okay, here we go:

The Knicks trade Nkilitina to us for #21 (we use Joe Johnson exception which saves NY money). This makes Mitchell very happy.

San Antonio trades Kawhi to Knicks for Porzingis, Noah and #21. (Saves NY more money). KP has said he might not stay in NY. He is the best player SA can get for Kawhi.

Kanter restructures his deal.

LeBron signs in NY.

PG Trae Young or Colin Sexton
SG Hardaway Jr
SF Kawhi
PF LeBron
C Kanter
6th man Courtney Lee
Kawhi is in the biggest market but not the spotlight.

They aren’t trading KP my man.

What in the world.

I hate the NBA and super teams. Time for a lockout and demand a real salary cap. No max salaries and franchise tags. NBA players either agree or they can go play overseas. It has to happen or small market teams will never win a title ever again.

So the Spurs are making Pau Gasol available. What about:

Memphis gets Gasol, Jerekbo, #21, #52 and our 2019 1st (they bring the Gasol brothers together and get 2 1sts)

Spurs get Burks, Udoh, and #32 (they save money and get a decent draft pick from Memphis)

We get Parsons, #4 and a future SA 2nd (per NBA rules every team has to receive something and send something to every team in a multi team trade)

Memphis is going to turn #4 into two late firsts and Gasol. And getting on Parsons. If it was a different player than Pau that might make sense.

Memphis wants to win now, desperately wants to dump Parsons, and they don't have a 1st next year.

More importantly, who else has the expirings/cap space and would take Parsons AND has a draft pick as high as #21? The answer is very, very few.
