What's new

Brian Windhorst impressed with Donovan Mitchell

Wade averaged 8.6 or more free throw attempts per game seven times in his career and 9.8 or more four times. Sick. I don’t think we’ll ever see that because Donovan just doesn’t have that one footed explosiveness but if he can average 8.0 a game (he did in April’s short month) with the % in my previous post, we have a special player.

Over the last five seasons Klay has averaged about 47/42.5/85 with minimal free throw attempts.

Awesome to see this, but I am kind of bummed that a lot of the praise coming out of camp seems to be for DM's leadership rather than his on court play.

Also, right now there are only 6 Superstars (combination of both marketing and ability): Lebron, Harden, Curry, KD*, Kwahi & Giannis. Think of it this way, if the entire NBA was being redrafted for a playoff series, who could you select #1 and not be mocked. There are lots of other really good players (AD, PG13, Joker, Embiid, etc) but they are clearly a step down.
* I gave KD honorary Superstar status even though with his injury he will no longer have the ability (but I don't think the shine has worn off yet).

I have never been able to shake my idea of Klay being a very, very rich man's Wally Szczerbiak.
I feel ya. I think he is a bit over rated
I think a good chunk of his splashiness is due to steph

If Mitchell improves on his 36.2% three point percentage this season his game is going to be next level. The D-Wade comparisons have always been accurate and Mitchell is showing he's superior to Dwayne on offensive (from an entire offensive game aspect). If he can get on Wade's defensive level... HOF.
Hey, it's DWY-ane.

I remember watching the jersey swap and thinking Dwade looked bigger than Mitchell, a little more than I thought he would.
