Stats ARE a thing. But if a player is amazing one game and sub par the next you're going to get stats that indicate the player is really good. In one game the player is "sublime" (to use DKs description), but not in the next game.

Stats don't capture inconsistent play because by nature they average a player's performance over time.

So yeah, stats are a thing, and they are a thing that has pretty much nothing to do with DKs point.

Inconsistent play because PG had a shoulder injury he with at the end of the year when he was having "inconsistencies". Stats are a thing, every player has good and bad games so people average them into something called statistics.

So, even if PG averaged something like 28pts and was as inconsistent as douche was saying then that means he had a ton of games where he was a monster.
