What's new

Bryce Harper

I had never even heard of him. Had to look him up. Cool, hope he has a fantastic career and that he stays true to his ideals.

Wow, I'm kind of surprised to hear that...although I don't know why. The Nationals are certainly becoming an interesting team with Harper, Strasburg, Morse (whose kind of a character) and that other rookie with the long last name.

Harper seems to be a smart ball player for his age. Trout would get more attention if he were on the east coast and not from that "other" LA team (that's not really in LA).

Mike Trout is a lot better...just sayin

I wouldn't say that. They are both great players and likely will be top 5 MLB players in 5 years. Their games are different though. Trout is always going to utilize his tremendous speed while Harper will ultimately be more of a power threat down the road. I am not saying Trout won't be better. Just that he will not be a lot better down the road. Remember that Trout was brought up last year and struggled at age 19. Harper is currently 19 and has an .857 OPS(Trout .942 currently). Point being, it should be interesting to see how these guys progress going forward.

Anyone else notice the script bottle over his left shoulder? Hmmm...

Probably painkillers. If he was roiding, he would get caught. Speaking of which, Marlon Byrd tested positive for a performance enhancing drug and will be suspended for 50 games.

Jeff Francis worked Harper over last night. Wonder if he sipped a little too much of Denver Beer Co.'s new brew.
