I would have thought changes of speed are what average-good athletes use to keep elite athletes off balance.

If you're quick, changes of speed can be even more effective than if you're a plodder like Jingling. Change of speed keeps your opponent off-balance, and when you're fast / quick, it accentuates this. I also would disagree with your assessment of Mitchell's ability to penetrate. I think he is even better at it than Dante, who might have a quicker first step, but Mitchell seems to have a better cross-over and his strength enables him to ward off the contact better than Dante, kind of like Kyrie.

I would prefer the guy that doesn't need to stutter step and use picks to penetrate deep - but there are plenty of examples of guys who do it the way Mtichell does. So point taken.

Pure athletes do not last. And with all of that athleticism Dante has done **** so let's all just observe the reality of what is and pump the brakes a bit.
