Get a mut over a pure breed. They will be more healthy. Find a corgi mix if you like the look of them. Just my two cents. MVP is obviously a better authority on this though.

Corgi is obviously much better choice then bulldog. But as Ron said a mutt will be less prone to some inbreeding related issues. Purebred dog problem in N.America is that there is very small gene pool compared to Europe to chose from. Most of the dogs here are spayed and neutered so it is the same blood lines being bred all over again. But that is a new can of worms to open so I'd rather not do it. PM if you need any help in the future when deciding on the dog:)

I like this advice and tbh, after volunteering at the animal shelter, I will probably just adopt a dog that needs me and is a good match for me from the shelter.

Corgi puppies are adorable as **** though.

What am I thinking, ALL puppies are really adorable.
Just saw a corgi puppy at the park the other day and fell in love though.
 
I have a mutt. Lab/border collie mix.

Bar none, the best dog I have ever had. I have grown up with purebred labs, beagles, and German shorthairs. Granted all have a different purpose, but as far as a family dog, this one is the best.

Sounds like a great mix. I had a wonderful black lab and have been around some awesome border collies.
My dog is a healer/Australian cattle dog mix and he is a great dog. Kinda makes me want to get another farm type dog that’s medium sized.

For those who don't know the bulldog's history they were originally bred for the bloody sport of bullbating. The bulldog would lock his jaws into the bull until it bled to death, the bulldog was admired for his courage and his fierce aggressive nature. The bulldog would fight till its death.

My favorite breed growing up.
I still think they are the coolest looking dogs around. They just ooze swagger.

Heard there are lots of issues with them so I never got one and my favorite breed changed to the boxer cause they look cool and are cool. Great dogs

We had a Doberman for a year. He was pretty crazy. When we had our third we weren’t able to give him the attention and play that he needed. Ended up going to a good home.

I have heard they have mental health issues. No idea if that is true though. I haven’t been around many in my life.
