So, we've all probably seen this thread and pots similar to this before, but you haven't seen it from me yet, so deal with it.
For quite a while, several posters (mainly PKM) discussed how this was a really weak draft class for PG's. Now I know Burke had a good college career, but lets be real here...he's not some great player. In a normal draft, I don't take him top 10, maybe not even top 15. So lets just go ahead and get this idea that he's our savior out of the way right now. Let me also say none of this post has anything to do with the SL games. I haven't watched any of the games and won't.
Now then, Burke is kinda small, not that athletic and plays hero ball. Undeniable facts. He is a good, albeit streaky, long range shooter, shows good poise and is an excellent leader. If you look at his college year, he will need time to develop and get used to the competition. Be prepared for some good games, and a lot of really bad games. Be prepared to acknowledge that he is just an average to slightly above-average starting PG. I like Burke, want him to succeed, but I think a lot of people have a gross misconception on the type of player that he is and that he's going to be.
