Burke & Burks working out with Stockton

Hell yeah!!!!!!

Glad to hear Burks is there too. This most likely means we'll be seeing more of Alec @ the 1 this year i. Addition to his role at the 2. How many mpg do you think Alec will get? How many do you think he can handle w/o injury?

Why do you mention injury? Alec doesn't have a history, he's young, ... I see no reason for injury concern.

Remember when dudes used to play high-30s and low-40s every night? No reason any of our youngsters can't.

I would normally agree, but Alec has gone through a couple years of inconsistent playing time. DNP's and sparse minutes don't prepare the body. No matter how young or gifted you are. I sincerely hope he's ready for an 82 game season with 36+ mpg.

You're looking for problems when there are no reasons to believe there are any. If I'm an FO, I assume my young guys can play 36 until I'm proven otherwise. You don't handle them with kid gloves.

That's cool. Looks like they want Burks to do some back up PG.

With Stockton's level of BB IQ, he could probably teach Favors and Kanter a thing or 2.

Now we just need to get Stockton/Malone and Burke/Favors/Kanter all in the same gym and work on the pick n roll together.

In all honesty, Burks would probably make a better backup PG than Lucas or Clark.

Not looking for problems. I'm expecting to see a lot of Burks on the court this year. If he is going to start at the 2, and then back ups Burke at the 1, the minutes are his for the taking. That is a lot to ask of anyone. With Rush out of the mix for now, he could play in The 40's.

Agreed. I don't think we'll see much of Clark at the 1, it's just not his game. The f/o has to know we don't want to see John Lucas III.

Burks and Clark will be on the floor at the same time for stretches. Call one a 1, call the other a 2... whatevar. I can see Burks initiating the offense with Clark guarding the opposing PG, and vice versa. Clark is a nice floor-spreader for a slasher like Burks.
