Burke Slams Media

To be fair to Burke, they were being pretty snarky with their comments. It wasn't professional criticism, so I don't really blame Burke for calling the media out.
 
Agreed. Burke isnt a stud but he always plays hard and i think will be a good back up someday. Jazz bloggers blew it.

Yep, and ain't that the internet for ya? What anonymous fans say in a forum is one thing. Put you name to overtly snide remarks, and you may get a surprise in return. People try to be cute, and it comes back to bite 'em. As it should in this instance. You see what happens when a bit of a "trade Burke feeding frenzy" starts to develop and guys like these bloggers try to be cute with their comments about the guy. Everybody is providing TB with all the reasons he'll ever need to come to training camp with the biggest chip on a shoulder he'll ever need to go all out. Exactly what you'd want really.
 
On where the young Jazz look for veteran leadership: "Trevor Booker, Derrick Favors and myself, it's a good amount of people."

Kind of interesting that he doesn't list Hayward as one of the veteran leaders. Seems like most of the other players say Hayward's name first when asked the same question and I'm pretty sure no one ever says Burke's name.
 
I think the Jazz are praying that Burke has a season where he shows he might be a borderline starter so they can trade him. I don't see Burke being here past his rookie contract.
 
I love the irony of Jody Gennesy saying you gotta watch what you say about a person because they are human.

But yet, Jody has no problem making up fake trade Rumors about Favors.

And spare me the idea is was a real rumor. It came from him only, and didn't even come close to happening.

No one knows for certain but im not bias against him and will give him the benefit of the doubt.

I definitely think that there are probably teams in the nba who would like to acquire favors though, so it's not crazy to me to believe that someone heard about a team trying to get favors from the jazz.

Someone trying to get Favors is not the same thing.

I'd bet a million dollars this is what happened. Jazz expressed interest in bringing back Millsap, but only to be part of a 3 man rotation. They knew it was a long shot. Jody decides he'll just throw in there that it means they are shopping Favors. Because his pea brain thinks it makes sense.

Jody gessy always thinks it's ok to yell to other when he can do it too? Shame! Disgrace! He says to anyone that we can trade favors and jazz want milsap and it show that jazz were not even candidates for milsap. Liar! Stop try trade Favors!!! And I know Favors probably thinks same thing about Gessy.

I don't care how progressive a basketball team is, they still have got to have zero patience for bloggers. Especially when they **** all over players. you don't see Rudy Gobert tweeting out, "Turns out there's a best of Andy Larsen collection online." Only to have Booker reply, "Is it a tweet?" To which G-Time tweets out "it's actually one emoji: /poop emoji/."

Think about it. Jody's source is probably some agent, or someone like that, who heard about Millsap' agent getting a call. I seriously doubt he is the one guy who has full access and knowledge to what the Jazz are doing and thinking. That's what it would take to know both ideas that they want Millsap and want to trade Favors.
 
TB needs to have thicker skin. A few idiot journalists run their mouth - who cares?

I'm not saying it's not irresponsible on their part, or that they weren't being ***holes. They were. But that's part of their job. What TB needs to grasp is that him snapping back and causing a tiff with them isn't good press for him or his team. After the thing with the handicapped kid, and the **** pic situation, you would hope he'd understand that by now.

Not sure he'll ever be a pro. I think we let him ride out his rookie deal then let him walk.
