It's terrible that so little is going on that this is actually news, but there's nothing else to talk about so I mind as well comment. I have no problem with reporters/bloggers saying what they want or Burke reacting to it. I'd prefer that they were able to do so in a respectful manner or that Burke didn't feel the need to react, but they all have the right to do what they want as long as it isn't hurting anyone. The exchange was unprofessional, though more so on the part of the reporters/bloggers. I strongly disagree with how they went about expressing their feelings, however I am a Utah Jazz fan first & foremost, so my only concern is that of the actions of Burke as the others (to my knowledge) are not under the employment of the team.
I don't blame Burke for reacting as it's human nature to do so, but as a professional athlete, he needs to understand that criticism is a part of the job (even when done so disrespectfully). Burke's only concern should be improving his future performance in order to help his team win, not what non-Jazz employees think of his past performance. I'm rooting for Burke, as his play directly impacts the team, but the fact that he feels the need to respond (imo) to people who have no impact/barring on his career (especially considering his recent troubles with social media) underlines the main problem which is his overall mindset (on & off the court). I hope he is able to turn it around, but these type of actions (as minor as they may seem) don't point towards that happening.
