Buying a new car

Defend your purchase. That will help your case. Lol

I don't think you understand Archie, you really don't have a case here.

How insecure do you have to be to look up 50 quotes about your suh-weet new ride?

Or you could be a guy who spent three weeks researching cars and knew where everything was already?

How did you know what kind of glasses I wear?

But seriously, there's no such thing as a "girl car."

Think again Buckwheat.

Who really thinks Mazda Miata and then thinks "roadster"?

Kicky, feel free to post a picture of you in your Miata. I could hang it up on my wall to give me a smile every morning.

Says the guy who bought a girl car. Dude, and those stats you posted about guys buying the car means nothing because it doesn't show they are buying it for their women. Don't be so insecure about your whip, dude. Scooters are just as cool as motorcycles. Lol

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Archie Moses again.

Whenever I see a Miata, I think about MacGruber and ripping throats.

I think you're barking up the wrong tree here. Ford has a small stake in Mazda but their operations are virtually entirely independent. Ford has about as much to do with Mazda as it does with Aston-Martin.

Without looking at logos, tell me which one is which. The Mazda B3000 (which I owned for about 5 years) looked exactly like a Ranger, drove exactly like a Ranger, and the parts were interchangeable with a Ranger. Plus, somewhere (the owner's manual or label on the truck) said it was manufactured by the Ford Motor Group, IIRC. Sounds like someone is barking up the wrong tree alright.

You've seized on one of only two instances (that I could find) where that's the case. The Ford Rangers and the B-series are basically identical, as are the Ford Explorers and the Mazda Navajo.

Not sure what years you were driving these cars in, nor do I deny that you had a bad experience. All I'm saying is that Ford's 3% stake isn't enough to discourage me from buying an MX-5.

That's fair enough. Like I said, I know plenty of guys who swear by Ford. I'm just not one of them. And I've never owned a Ford car, only trucks. That was enough to turn me off.
