Buyout Options

So? He wanted that option and the nba teams honored it. He wanted to chose and he wasn't interested in being a 2 way player either.
They honored because they didn't think he was good. If anyone knew what I knew they wouldn't have "honored" it

To be more specify, no one thought he was good enough for a guaranteed deal. Teams probably wanted him on a two way.

Lmao I’ve come to the conclusion Saint Sty is awful at talent evaluation. He used to be looked at as some God here because he loved Kuzma the one year, the same Kuzma who the Lakers looked to trade and plays defense as well as Al Jefferson. Meanwhile, Jacob Evans can’t get off of a God awful Dubs bench, Cy chose no one (ie, didn’t have the balls to say who he liked) last draft, and there’s no one else we can remember who he loved who’s worth ****.

The one thing he is good at is not being rash. He stays the course and is patient. Too much so.

The thing about last draft is a lie.

And I like how you skipped over Donovan Mitchell.

And Kuzma still outperforms his draft slot.

I'm the best there is at the draft.

Cy slowly morphing into PGAB... this is great.

Yeah... surprised we couldn’t get a trade setup for him. He seems like such a good dude and was improving rapidly... great surprise. JC has been a great addition and I don’t care that he doesn’t pass... but if we could have got a deal at a different position it would have balanced the roster a bit better. I’m guessing we didn’t have a lot of choice cuz Exum is bad injured and overpaid.

Conley injury insurance. I'm surprised we aren't giving him five minutes a game.

Agree... I guess I'm surprised no one really pursued him... maybe they did and it is nice to have him if we sustain an injury or if dudes need a night off down the stretch.

Not surprised he's out of the rotation though. We just don't have 5 minutes at a spot for him. Pulling guys in and out of the game makes it tough to get in a rhythm.

That happened fast. They could waive him if they wanted to give a roster spot to someone else, but I'm 99% sure he's staying put.

Honestly he is probably hoping he can trick them into picking up his option for next year... like if he has a good couple months. It is the Knicks... they ain't the smartest team in the world ya know. Otherwise I think he's looking at getting the BAE at best... most likely has to take a make good minimum deal unless he goes to another trash team.
