For any discussion of people potentially being bought out. First person who comes to mind for me is Thad Young, who’s in his final year and apparently not happy in SA.
 
Thad Young would be great. He does have ties to Utah IIRC, but we don't have much of a role for him.

Satoransky will probably be bought out. I refuse to believe he suddenly turned garbage and am blaming everything on NOP. Would be a good pickup especially if we're able to pull off the elusive 2 for 1 trade.

What’s the Thad connection? I’d be nice to have some ball-handling depth in the event of injury to Conley, Ingles or Donovan.
 
I don't think there will be many buyout guys with teams needing all hands on deck... unless they take a decent paycut.

Some names to add to those already mentioned:

Gary Harris - not super likely as they like his leadership.
Jeremy Lamb
Tristan Thompson
Maybe Josh Jackson or Rodney McGruder.... just looking for *** teams with expiring deals.
Kent Bazemore

Thad came to Utah on vacation one time.
 
I think Thad will be traded for a second rounder somewhere.... thats what a normal team would do... but the Spurs are weird so they may just buy him out and let him go where he wants. He's a guy that fits the small ball 5 mode... gets tons of deflections and is great passer out of the pick and roll. I think because of Hassan he would have a hard time finding a role here and would likely have his choice of any contender he wants. I've long been a fan.

If Gary Harris was bought out I'd love to have him.
 
Thad Young used to me my boy in fantasy leagues. Always producing past his draft position but still somehow underrated.

Nowadays, at his age. Idk.

I did learn today his nickname is Thagic Johnson. Why it's Thagic Johnson is beyond me.

The problem with a trade for Thad/Harris is that it's hard to find contending teams with the salaries to match.
 
I’d be surprised if Thad Young is bought out since he’d get something in return in a trade. there aren’t minutes for him with Gay, whiteside, and paschall here, plus he can’t shoot.

I could see Favors getting bought out, though he’s definitely done here. Houston’s owner is a cheapskate so maybe Eric Gordon.

Phoenix is the team I think that makes it happen. Send Saric and something with a 1st and get Thad and a second. Helps them clear some salary for next year too.

Harris I agree.... I just don't know that he will want a buyout. May just ride the season out. He seems like a good soldier and they like him.
 


Not a buyout but a guy we had before that I'm surprised he got cut.
 
Thad would be awesome fit for jazz , hustle deff and size and since I was watching pacers alot he was leader on and off cort there
 
I'd be willing to take a buyout at my job to play for the Jazz. I can be had for cheap too.
