What's new

bye bye shannon brown

Hey,

Thanks for the big news. I'm always on the lookout for new stuff to read, and when you said that the Jazz signed Raja Bell and therefore had a smaller chance of signing other players, I thought to myself, "HEY! When I read other threads before, that thought never came into my head!" Thanks.

Oh, and cool picture. Who is that, DeMarcus Cousins. Hah, he is SO COOL! I would put a million posters of his face on my walls if my wife would let me. HAHA!

maybe you should read the article and talk your sarcasm bitching. there are people who still thinks we can sign brown or mason after we signed bell so im letting people know thats hardly unlikely according to their agent

well looks like shannon brown wont be coming to the jazz. (roger mason also but i dont give a **** about getting him)

bye bye shannon brown, i will miss you

I was on your campaign for Shannon Brown but I have to admit I totally forgot about Raja Bell. I am glad the Jazz did this. I love Shannon Brown still and I was actually mad when we signed Raja. But after thinking about it.

Raja is a better shooter. If he is 3/4 of the defender he was at with the bobcats than he is better than Brown. And he is tougher I think. He brings a nasty attitude to our team that we need.

The down side is his age. But when I thought about how he came into the league at 25 or 26. And He has about as much mileage as a 30 year old. And he never relied on athleticism for defense anyways. It was position and smarts. So I think the Jazz made the right move.

The only thing that scares me is if Bell goes down or is in foul trouble. Who guards the elite swing player? Miles I guess is better after watching him play Melo. AK and Hayward can't. We need to sign a athletic defender to help Raja.

We are actually loaded at the wings now with Hayward, bell, and miles. Would have loved a combo guard like brown though. I think Larry hughs could be interesting. He can play pg is spurts.

i couldnt agree with you more. when i first saw we signed bell, i was kinda mad but after giving it a thought and looking at what he can bring to the jazz, bell without a doubt is a better fit than brown. the only problem i have with this however is that we cannot solve the backup pg situation anymore and bell's age. i would have been thrilled if we had the possibility to sign both bell and brown but according to the article, its highly unlikely now. we will be stuck with price at backup and we will probably sign brewer now. meh

No way we sign Brewer. Brewer is gone to the Bulls now.

I hope we sign somebody like Tinsley. Somebody who can play defense. Actually run an offense. And shoot decent. for the Veteran min.

Wait, are you talking about Jamal Tinsley?

I'm really disappointed that the Jazz choose Raja Bell who is 34 and will be 37 by the time his contract runs out. Brown is young, fast, athletic, and has lots of potential.
