What's new

BYU Football 2012

Please let Hill find his potential though. The kid was jogging past Boise's defense like it was nothing on those roll outs. He has shifty running back moves and a cannon to boot. He's poised. There is something special there. Let him throw the deep ball. Let him run the option. Let him do everything inbetween.

Cue the zoobs saying... "We'd be underfeated if we had started Hill all year! National Title and Heisman next year! Someone get the t-shirts ready!!!"

Yaaaaaa! Fetch yes! Whooooo! Frick yeah!

Serious question...

Now it's "coming out" that Nelson has been played hurt... Awwwwwww what a trooper!

If this is true, then why has Doman insisted on running the option?

Wouldn't you think he'd help his QB out and try and protect him knowing that he's playing with injury?

I don't know, maybe I'm just being too logical?

And who's responsible for that?

Nothing is preventing Bronco from having more say in his offense. Is he the head coach or not?
A lot of coaches are hands off with their opposite coordinator (Nick Saban for one but there are plenty). There's nothing wrong with Bronco's style. The problem is Doman is young. Or maybe he's dumb. Or maybe a combination. I gotta think OC's get smarter through the years.

Having said that, if the offense in general is failing consistently then I'd say it is on the head coach to make a change. But that is something you do off-season. If a coach is going to call plays for the OC than why have an OC? Obviously, you make the calls like going for 2 and punting and such.

Already given up on Doman? Crazy.

I like the Hill kid better than Riley, because he actually has an arm. They moved the ball with him.
He's still a freshman, so I don't expect too much this year.

I still think the Y can have a decent year this year, but they have to clean up all the mistakes. False starts, holds, targeting/personal fouls and all that... have to go.

Yewt homers can enjoy these two losses, and be all giddy because this is probably the best they will feel all year. They are in for a rude awakening unless Hays is better than I think he will be.

Technology keeps getting smarter and smarter. I keep setting my DVR to record episodes of Teh Biggest Loser, and it keeps recording BYU games instead.

I like Doman and still think he'll be fine. I think his issue is over-thinking and trying to hard to be creative. The playbook is way too crazy right now.

What's crazy about it other than it's completely bottled up and doesn't allow for any creativity?

and play Georgia Tech, Oregon St., and Notre Dame

Then they will be teh awesome!

Wow, you were real quiet before the Yewt BYU game, now you are all talk.
Easy to talk crap now eh?

You are the wussy type that likes to pile on after someone else already did the dirty work.
Were you the guy in the suspenders? If not you must be his twin.

Your trash talk is meaningless. blablablabla wawa wawawawa wawa
